Top Obama campaign adviser David Axelrod on Sunday defended Democrats’ lawsuit challenging an Ohio law on early voting for U.S. service members and called Mitt Romney’s portrayal of the case “shameful.”
The Obama campaign and the Democratic National Committee filed the suit to block a new state law allowing men and women in uniform to vote up until the Monday right before an election, while the cutoff on early voting for the rest of the public is three days earlier.
“The way Gov. Romney stated [the situation] is completely false,” Axelrod said on “Fox News Sunday.” “It’s shameful that Gov. Romney would hide behind our service men and women.”

“President Obama's lawsuit claiming it is unconstitutional for Ohio to allow servicemen and women extended early voting privileges during the state's early voting period is an outrage,” Romney said Saturday.
Obama campaign officials said the suit doesn’t attempt to restrict the voting rights of military members. The officials said they filed the suit to try to even the playing field for all Ohio voters by allowing early voting up until Monday for everyone, including members of the military, because they believe a two-tiered, early-voting process is unfair.
Alexrod repeated that point Sunday and suggested Republicans continue to try to find ways to “keep shrinking” the voting population.
The National Guard Association and other military groups are firing back, saying it's "offensive" for Democrats to suggest in the suit it's arbitrary for service members to get special consideration.
Men and women in uniform typically get more time than other voters to send in absentee ballots since they may be serving in an overseas or domestic location that is not close to their home polling station.

Early voting is a privilege not a right. You can absentee vote.

Ohio has a Republican governor and a conservative, a USMC vet, Josh Mandel, up against a communist Senator, Brown. Portman, I believe, is from Ohio. I have also been keeping track of the various state party goings on around the country, as there appears to have been a number of internal struggles. Ohio has had that for the R/D chairmen, IIRC.
I wonder how many people are moving to Ohio to cloud the election results. For that matter, I wonder how many out-of-state license plates are in other swing states now, too.

Anything is possible. They would just love to have Holder's people throwing out valid military votes (while ginning up bogus claims of ID requirements causing "voter suppression"). And for now, they want to keep up this lame meme that Romney is "smearing" Obama again- in order to distract people from what is really happening here.
The truth is startling when it comes to absentee military ballots:
"... in 2010 that only 4.5 percent of the 2 million military and overseas voters reported to the Election Assistance Commission were able to cast absentee ballots that were actually counted. Meanwhile, the overall national voter participation rate for the 2010 election was 41.6 percent."

It’s going to be really something at The Great White Throne Judgement when all the scum from the current administration, the House and Senate, the Supremes and the Cabinet Posts get their turn. I think that we ought to make a law that dead rats can only show up on election day with a proper unexpired ID and in person.
