Cruz: Tea party ‘overwhelmingly’ behind Romney
The Washington Times ^ | August 5, 2012 | Sean Lengell

Ted Cruz, who rode a tea party wave to win the Texas Republican Senate nomination last week, said Sunday the movement will “overwhelmingly” support Mitt Romney in the November presidential election.

Mr. Cruz said tea party activists will rally in defense of the presumptive Republican presidential nominee because they’re “energized” to defeat President Obama.

“I have spoken with literally thousands and thousands of tea party activists, and I have yet to met a single tea party leader that is not going to vote for Mitt Romney and work hard for him,” Mr. Cruz said on Fox News Sunday.

“Our country is in crisis, and we’ve got to stop this Obama agenda if we’re going to preserve opportunity for our kids and grandkids.”(continued)

If your choice would have garnered the support, he/she would have been the nominee.

Wrong! We had NO choice from the GOP-E.

Next for GOP leaders: Stopping Sarah Palin

Now that the GOP-E has made its bed, it can lie in it.

Of course you are right, BUT considering what America could be up against, we need every conservative voting NO to nobama. Take no chances.

Finny, here’s the reality. An ABOer is no different than abused wife.

“This time will be different. He’s a good man. He just gets ...upset with me sometimes.”

And the GOP will NEVER do anything but abuse conservative voters.

You're very far out in left field if you think that hate has anything to do with many of our rejection of Romney, and you're absolutely irrational if you think Romney is anything but a liberal Democrat registered as a Republican. Either that, or you have never seriously considered his record.

We HAVE, and it is because of his RECORD, not because of "hate," that we reject him.

The irrational folks are the ones who are ignoring every instinct in their bones that is telling them Romney stinks, and voting for a stone-cold liberal original author of ObamaCare anyway out of sheer fear of a skinny America-hating fraud.

And how are you obeying HIM when you vote for a candidate who is AGAINST traditional marriage and PRO ABORTION and a KNOWN LIAR? Satan is the master of LIARS!

This is some of the reasons I will not be voting for Mr. Obama. Nor will I do anything that eases his reelection.

When some political party has as it's nominee a pro life and marriage candidate, (redundant IMO), we will be joyful. In the book of Hebrews, toward the end of the letter, is an exhortation to the faithful. You are right, we should not fear that if Mr. Romney would lead, he also will be called to account. Let us pray he fulfills his tasks with joy should he become elected.

The more upright we can make the legislature as well, the better. I say thank you to Mr. Cruz. This needs to be said when a leader does good. Maybe more often than the doubt and vitriol.

The best way I heard it put was like this:

I'm not voting for a liberal because you are scared of a Obama.

Is the TP now GOpe?

We are running out of folks and organizations to toss under the bus.

The NLRC.

The Susan B Anthony organization.

Sarah Palin ,Michelle Bachmann,Rick Santorum, Herman Cain,Dick Cheney,George W, Rush .

We need to raise the bus to be able to fit more under there.

When one has the TRUTH they hate evil - so what you say is BS - and the opposite of TRUTH - there is no reason to hear it.

All the talk convincing others that EVIL is GOOD is laughable. Suckers are hell bent to learn the hard way so enjoy your roller coaster ride that you will never forget!

It’s just a fact of life - what you sow you reap, MORE than you sow, LATER than you sow.

If you're not going to vote for Romney, vote for a plurality by voting third party. The last time a president was elected by a plurality, he was impeached; the time before, he was bulldozed and forced to the right by the Republican Revolution.

Every single third party vote, no matter who casts it and no matter which candidate it is cast for, will reduce the popular mandate of the winner and count toward a plurality. There's good solid sense in voting for a plurality if it ends up being Obama vs Romney.

. It’s the “anybody but Obama” people that are completely irrational.

Amen, Brother (or Sister) FReeper. ABO is fueled exclusively by hysteria, and hysteria is a sure path to bad choices.

Romney woos his enemies/conservatives and their audience and NOT his friends. Learn something unless you want to be a lap dog all your life!

Reagan wasn’t conservative enough for who? Only RINOs seem to think we have forgotten who gave Reagan all the trouble.

The only ones trashing Reagan are the RINOs like socialist Romney and his liberal dad and some liberaltarians, who hate anyone that holds the socially conservative beliefs Reagan held. It is these same RINOs and liberaltarians who love Romney so much. They don’t care that he’s pro gay, and instituted both socialist medicine with $50.00 abortions and gay marriage in Massachusetts. They don’t even seem to care that he lies about everything and has no problem confiscating your tax dollars, known as fees, and spreading the wealth — especially to the green community and welfare recipients. Winning is all that matters to them and as Romney believes, you don’t need principles to do that.

It’s your socialist Romney who doesn’t want to go back to Reagan/Bush. Do you feel the same way?
