What is the best way to bring this up to the school Board??? My daughter is going into the 3rd grade this year. While looking up a supplies list on the school website my wife found that the schools 3rd grade site showed some projects that they should be prepared for this school year. Under the social studies tab it showed a project were the kids will dress up as one of the following people and do a report on that person. The list is in pictures on the website. Their choices are as follows.

Susan B. Anthony Paul Revere Frederick Douglas Mary McCoud Bethune Eleanor Roosevelt Thurgood Marshall Lyndon B Johnson Franklin D. Roosevelt Cesar Chavez

Also another project is to write a song or RAP about democracy.

I'm thinking private school.

Below is a link to the school. Northwest Elementary in Murray County Ga.

I suppose a report on FDR or LBJ could focus on their terribly destructive and long-lasting policies and how the country has suffered because of their administrations.

Have her dress as Margaret Sanger and expound on how killing black babies will improve the country.

Susan B Anthony was pro-life. Frederick Douglass preached self-reliance. Those would both be good choices just because the message they spoke differs from what leftist teachers think they professed. Of course you’re right that there should have been far more politically “diverse” options.

Paul Revere, excellent! Have her tell how the British attempted to confiscate the guns and ammunition of the Colonists at Lexington & Concird, who repelled them with said guns & ammo. Then have here write how important the 2nd Amendment still is in American today and how any future attempt by Tyrannical politicians in Mordor to confiscate the guns of Americans will be met with a similar response.

You’re in for a long battle. Play smart, play friendly, and make sure your child is not targeted for political retribution.

Consider an anonymous, respectful, but forceful communique to district.

BTW, many educators are empathetic to the concerns of Conservatives. Of course, many are not.

When are conservatives going to wake up?

If these parents were rational that school would be empty on the first day of school.

my kid was in 3rd grade last year and came home one day talking about chavez as well. i asked who else they had studied in “social studies” and was told FDR and LBJ. I asked in Washington, Lincoln or Reagan had been studied....the answer was no.

So i took it upon myself to explain socialism and why chavez, fdr and lbj were socialist and of course linked them with dimocrats and obama. it was an interesting week at the house.

i’m seriously considering running for the BOE next go ‘round to see what conservative influence we can get in the school. also, if my kid does speak out, i can provide some degree of cover. i’ve seen some odumbo stickers on cars in the teacher parking lot.

btw, i’m in a pretty red county.
