Elizabeth Childs' GOP switch [to GOP] is a real mystery
Boston Herald ^ | 6 Aug 2012 | Holly Robichaud

According to records obtained from the Brookline Town Clerk, since 1996 Childs has consistently voted in Democrat primaries.

Only when she decided to run for Congress did Lizzy finally vote in this year’s presidential Republican primary.

During a recent Talk 1200 AM debate, she touted support from dignitaries such as former Gov. Bill Weld, who endorsed Barack Obama in 2008.

She also listed former New Jersey Gov. Christine Todd Whitman and ex-Massachusetts Republican Party Chairwoman Jennifer Nassour, widely seen as RINOs — Republicans in name only — in conservative GOP circles.

This refers to the Republican primary for the seat vacated by Barney Frank.

Childs' would seem to be not really even a RINO, but a plant (supported by a few witless RINOs). Childs' function is to harass the legitimate candidate in the primary, and deplete his resources. She is probably a plant.

At the rate democrats are converting the party we’re going to need a new name for RINOs since most of them are at this point.

Or maybe a Bloomberg clone who sees any path to political office as legit. Bloomberg was a lifelong Dem before he opportunistically switched to have a better chance at getting elected. He’s now an independent.

I listened to the debate that was on the radio. She is a Rino, if not a democrat. She said the district is fiscally conservative and socially liberal so would not vote for a coservative for congress. Yet it WOULD vote for a militant marxist Barney Frank who is 0% fiscally conservative.

She’s just another worthless liberal republican who wants to get into congress, and if she can’t get there, she’ll thwart some conservative along the way to prevent any conservative from getting traction in MA.

She said the district is fiscally conservative and socially liberal

That's a contradictory term anyway. I've certainly never seen a social liberal who was able to hold a truly fiscal conservative position for very long.

My last RINO rep called himself fiscally conservative and socially moderate. However he also called pro lifers extreme and wanted taxpayers to fund abortions for the underprivileged.

She said the district is fiscally conservative and socially liberal.

When they say that you know they aren’t conservative or care about the country or the voters.
