By the 1970s I knew that the only sane thing to do was to put an end to madness. Immediately! Do not wait.
Round up the campus psycho punks and other "revolutionaries" and put them on a campus in the Nevada desert. That would include not just students and hangers-on but also the employees of the universities spouting that revolutionary, social justice, "bring it all down, man" crap.
I quoted Lincoln above (mid 1850s I believe) -- he knew that we could not continue as a "house divided." Let the professionals (military and line-LEO) lead and let's just get it over with.
