President Obama must surely wish he could undo the campaign speech he delivered in Roanoke, Va., on July 13. That was where he offered up the view that "if you've got a business, you didn't build that, somebody else made that happen." It is a line that could haunt him right to November, revealing as it does an unwillingness to credit success and a hostility toward the culture of entrepreneurship. But the remark came in the context of a broader argument that was just as telling on a different point, and no less troubling.
The president simply equates doing things together with doing things through government. He sees the citizen and the state, and nothing in between - and thus sees every political question as a choice between radical individualism and a federal program.

It also provides a rich context to Obama’s very early attack on charitable giving; either he’s hidden that impulse or we’ve stopped paying attention to it. Biden and his .1 of 1% giving is the flesh and blood face of those motivations.

Makes a brief, clear case that Obama’s a fascist. Maybe he’s going toward communism, but in practice so far he’s definitely a fascist.
Barack Obama's political agenda is aimed at eliminating those "intermediate institutions" like families, businesses, religious institutions, civic groups, etc. because by any measure he's a complete loser whose own personal background represents a failure of every one of those institutions. He identifies himself with cultural/ethnic groups that couldn't build and sustain an "intermediate institution" of any note if they were given a thousand years and an endless supply of money to complete the task. That's why his message -- as an affirmative-action leech, a half-@ssed lawyer, and a community organizer -- has been to rail against the establishment and demand that other people "do more" to help people like the misfits and losers who litter his own family and personal background.
