Meanwhile did yunz all hear what Jim opened with? Something abouta mistake or one of the dumbest things he’s done. Then ehat the heck went on yesterday with Stacey? Holy cow, something is up! I hope it isn’t contract!
Then Jim refered to the Clear Channel CEO not knowing his name.

Why did GJ say he was going to be in all week? I heard him say that, too... GJ keep mentioning Stacy yesterday... as he was pissing on Quinn and Rose’s loyal listeners... Why would a temp host want to piss off the show’s loyal listeners?
I was thrilled to hear Q&R back in this morning, but I’m confused now. I, too, thought I heard the sub hear yesterday that he’d be in all week.
I also remember him saying all that nonsense about Stacy yesterday—that he pictured her dressed in a gothic outfit with strappy high heels and tattoos or something.
Maybe they decided to fire him and come back early.

GJ was a total disaster. I almost didn’t post the thread today thinking he’d be on and nobody would listen anyway. I miss so much because I post the thread first and then run off to do other stuff while I’m trying to listen. What did he say to Stacy? Looks like I’m going to download the first hour of the show and listen again (painful as that may be!)

I also remember he said he’d been unemployed for a while.
I think we can guess why.
It may be GJ was doing what a radio legend I worked with used to do. Jack Wheeler goes way back...worked and hung out with Jean Shepard, Imus, and others. Wheeler abd I got along real well and I enjoyed doing news on his morning show.
Sometimes I’d use a kicker story about something he didn’t like...say talking about Curiosity looking for life on Mars. He’d open his mike and interrupt and we’d “argue.” After we were off air we’d be laughing so hard we were crying.
But one of his bits was to say something outrageous to get the listeners angry with him. People hated him but they always tuned in to see what he would say and his ratings were sky high.

We had a local morning talk show host who was a bleeding heart liberal. He would insult and REALLY piss off various listeners because of their conservative views. Went too far, though, and finally got the boot within the last year, IIRC. Someone happen to bring that up at the TP meeting last week, and we all applauded.
It sure is good to hear Jim and Rose after yesterday’s debacle! Hopefully others will keep the heat on Reid all the way to November.
