Obama classmate: There is a reason Obama refuses to release his college records
Examiner ^ | 08/07/2012 | Robert Moon

Posted on 08/07/2012 8:43:05 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

An Obama classmate from Columbia University called him out this week for stirring up a bogus smear campaign against Romney over his taxes, insisting that Obama's motive is not only to distract voters from the worst economic recovery in post-WWII history, but also to avoid a far more scandalous and devastating skeleton Obama has hiding in his own closet...buried deep inside those college records he still refuses to unseal (and has paid millions to keep under lock and key).

From Wayne Allyn Root (via The Blaze):

"If anyone should have questions about Obama’s record at Columbia University, it’s me. We both graduated (according to Obama) Columbia University, Class of ’83. We were both (according to Obama) Pre-Law and Political Science majors. And I thought I knew most everyone at Columbia. I certainly thought I’d heard of all of my fellow Political Science majors. But not Obama (or as he was known then- Barry Soetoro). I never met him. Never saw him. Never even heard of him. And none of the classmates that I knew at Columbia have ever met him, saw him, or heard of him.

But don’t take my word for it. The Wall Street Journal reported in 2008 that Fox News randomly called 400 of our Columbia classmates and never found one who had ever met Obama."

In other words, Obama is going to great lengths to prevent the release of his records from a school that no one remembers him attending (which means he either completely lied about graduating there or failed a lot of classes, which would prevent him from getting financial aid) and that he had no means of paying for at the time.

Snarky personal comment aside, I do remember a lot of people from grade school, high school, college, law school, and my professional life. But I had to have a connection of some enduring sort with them. If 0bama did not make personal connections, then nobody will remember him.

And as for now discovering that he is president, sure, people are going to wonder if they knew him in college back then. But if he wasn’t notable then, they won’t remember him now.

I think he was a cypher; an empty suit that at the time people would have recognized, but don’t remember today. That is telling that he made so little impact on his colleagues. I also believe the official records at Columbia show a lot more than he wants to know, but the average student at Columbia at the time would have been completely unaware of the contents of those records. And it’s those records we should concentrate on. The fact that he wasn’t memorable to his classmates should not lead us to read into it more than what’s there, and isn’t what’s really the issue.

only one way to prove it as Reid and the loons have said.

“Show the records to prove it”

Ever hear of the rule of 5? It’s a business rule of thumb for creating presentations.

“If you put more than 5 bullet points on a presentation it confuses the viewer causing their eyes to glaze over and results in the viewer not comprehending ANY of the bullet points.”

And 5 is pushing it—the upper limit. Three or less bullet points is optimal.

We can take a lesson from the Democrats here. Instead of throwing out a long-list, the pick one item to focus on and pound away at it till they pound the point home.

If Wayne is white, that makes him a racist according to lib logic. If he’s black, that makes him a Tom.

This all begs another question: if Barry schlepped his way through college, then who was it that made this happen? At this time in his life, he was still a nobody - so why would Columbia allow him to graduate? Were the professors told to give him certain grades to make this happen? Or did any of the professors even see him in a classroom at all and somebody in the administration simply created a record for him out of thin air?

Now matter what the answers are to these questions, there's only one reason that stuff like this gets done: money. I did a quick check....look at this:

From this report, I found the following:

"[George] Soros gives money to a variety of other schools specifically to promote his left-wing causes. In addition to heavily funding Central European University and Bard College, Soros funded programs and classes at universities around the world promote his radical ideology. Soros’s Open Society Foundations granted more than $400 million in gifts and commitments to higher education since the year 2000.

Every one of the Ivy League colleges and universities received funding from Soros. More than $15 million was granted since 2000 to promote specific programs that line up with the Soros ideology. Columbia and Harvard were the real winners, receiving more than $8 million and more than $5 million respectively."

(more details at the link) So is that enough to buy a President. Surely Soro has made a profit on Obama as well, since we have well-documented cases in which Obama decisions and policies have benefitted Soros directly - particularly with oil leases and policies.

It would also be reasonable to guess that Obama wasn't the only student identified and groomed to do this... if one is trying to 'create' a President or other high-ranking politician, then it makes no sense to put all eggs into the same basket.

I would bet there are more Barry Soetoro's out there.

If you heard the names though, do you think you might have recognition sparked? I would think this would be more true, the more unusual the name. Multiple choice is always a lot easier.

if one of my college acquaintances suddenly became president? I think my inclination would be to wrack my brains to see if I could remember anything about a president who attended my school/college with the same graduation year.

Especially one with the name Barry Sotero or Barack Hussein Obama....

Being a mullato at that point in time is also something someone would remember about a classmate.

We weren’t into the full blown PC in the early 80’s

People are talking about whether a student can get away with poor attendance at a university. That might be possible at some schools or in some classes.

The other side of the coin is that it is easy for a non-student to hang around a university and appear to be a student. A non-student can easily attend most classes without question and hang around the student union and other campus meeting places. And it's nothing at all for a non-student to hang out at off-campus student gathering places like pubs, eateries, etc. and live in an apt. near campus.

For someone inclined to pass themselves off as a student and be involved in student political activism it would be a piece of cake. Even professors and administrators could come to think of them as students. That's why I asked if there were proof that he was ever enrolled.

Columbia University proudly claims Obama as a 1983 graduate. The university magazine Columbia College Today profiled him as far back as 2005, after he was elected to the U.S. Senate.

That might be proof that they want to claim an association with him but it isn't proof that he was enrolled. Let's see the records of his syllabus, his graduation and his grades.

I am not as up to date as you all on Obama’s time lines, but wasn’t this when he met Ayers? Could he have been involved with these people? It seems like a natural gravitation due to Obama’s Marxist beliefs.

There’s a compelling reason to attend classes beyond having to appear on any attendance lists. In advanced history and political science classes, many of which I took in college, getting A’s in the vast majority and B’s in the rest, regular class attendance and careful note taking were the best and most efficient ways to get the information that was essential to get high grades. My attendance at those classes had nothing to do with whether attendance was taken—it was purely to ace the courses quickly and easily.

My experience was far different - nearly every professor, both undergrad and graduate school had strict attendance policies and took roll.

Didn’t anybody ever complain that they couldn’t understand the instructor?

As far as I know, everyone complained about the instructor.

There was another the same statistic class taught at the same time. After we were assured we would have only scheduled quizzes and exams, at least half of us attended the other class.

“The other three may be true, but in nearly six years of college, attending three different universities, I never once saw attendance taken.”

Yup. In four years of undergrad never saw any prof or grad assistant count roll.

“My statistics class was so poorly taught by heavily Chinese accented TA, most of my class attended other lectures and only showed up for the scheduled quizzes and tests.”

Remember a few classes where I saw someone or someones I hadn’t seen since the first day show up for finals!

Once again I am being the party pooper, Its Obama and high ranking Democrat officials demanding Romney’s tax returns and accusing him of hiding potential crimes, yet we are supposed to demand Obama’s records when Romney and the RINO party are too scared to.

Reid accused Romney of tax evasion on the Senate floor , so its RINO MCConnels turn to make similar accusations on the floor.

I cant fight for those who refuse to even try.

The attitude I saw at Kent State, University of Alaska and The Ohio State University was: "You are considered adults. You paid the tuition. It is up to you to learn."
