Routers:

This is what i have, which is killing my new DOCSIS3 cable modem:
http://www.amazon.com/Cisco-RVS4000-Gigabit-Security-Router-VPN/dp/B000O006F0/ref=pd_sim_e_9

Speed drops from 53mbps down/15mbps upload to 0.75mbps download/1.3mbps, using that Linksys! Yeouch. So I bypassed it and am screaming direct on Net now at 53mbps.

This is what i’m looking at (found it at both staples & best buy). but will it work w/ non-wireless?
http://www.amazon.com/Linksys-EA4500-App-Enabled-Dual-Band-Wireless-N/dp/B007IL7AKM/ref=sr_1_8?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1344377319&sr=1-8&keywords=usb+router

Although i’m not wireless, do you think this unit will this wireless unit work w/ my ‘puter? it has a usb input, but the linksys i’m now bypassing doesn’t.

power input,
ethernet cable from modem,
cable to computer,

Am i missing something?

the usb port on the one you are considering is to add a networked storage - like a hard drive - that can be accessed from computers on your network

that is a lotta router - at $155
