Two teens and a mother face charges after an apparent shoplifting spree turned more serious in Westwood [OH]. The kids apparently tried to flee the store after loading up their purses with stolen goods. One girl's mother was driving the SUV and is accused of hitting the store manager, who tried to stop their escape.
The arrested mother spoke exclusively with Local 12 after the incident on Tuesday.
The two teens casually walk into Walgreens on Boudinot on Tuesday afternoon. At first they appear to be normal shoppers. But a closer look reveals they were stuffing their jumbo-sized bags. Then they walk out of the store and leave in a white SUV.
A police dispatcher puts out a call for officers to go to the scene. "Suspect 1 is a female black with some type of fixed hair, possibly dreads. The second suspect who entered the store with her had a pink large purse."
Within minutes, officers surrounded a home on Pickmeier Lane. Officers found all of the stolen merchandise-including hairspray and snacks-scattered inside of the SUV. Officers say 37 year old Tiwana Bailey was behind the wheel of the vehicle while her daughter and her daughter's friend were stealing. And when they jumped into the SUV, the store manager ran after them. "When he was trying to recover the property from the vehicle, the subjects fled in the vehicle throwing him off the car onto the concrete pavement," says Sgt. Jim Perkins with the Cincinnati Police Department.
Bailey spoke with Local 12 as she sat cuffed in the back of a cruiser. She says, "That man came out swinging! I was terrified. She was in the car screaming. I didn't know what was going on."
Bailey claims she had no clue the girls were inside stealing. Eventually, police arrested the two teens. "After negotiating with some of the other suspects that were inside of the house they came out," says Sgt. Perkins.
Officers say the SUV's distinctive personalized license plate, which read "TIGHTS", helped police find the suspects quickly.
Despite being thrown to the ground, the Walgreens store manager had only minor injuries and did not need to go to the hospital.
The teen girls are in juvenile detention. Bailey is charged with robbery and is behind bars at the Hamilton County Justice Center.
... those Amish are at it again!
It’s not shoplifting when you’re “entitled”.
Bet this mom will be voting for ‘Bammy in November, though.
Westwood used to be a nice neighborhood. The last time that I was there, it had become almost a complete sh!thole.
If Obama had two teens and a mother the resemblance would be startling.
Well, it’s apparently not ‘almost’ anymore........
She really looks Negroid and entitleoid and affirmative-actionoid rather than Amishoid? It's amazing how all these slimeballs look like Obamboozle's kids.
Betcha the manager gets fired, or at least reprimanded for attempting to thwart the crime.
Somehow, I didn’t even need to see the mug shot after reading the headline.
She didn’t steal that stuff. Someone else did.
But it’s okay.
The Walgreens people didn’t build those stores either, someone else did.
Typical “teach the kids to steal and have them steal FOR you” as they are younger and get a lighter sentence or get let off alltogether. Bet mommykins has a rap sheet as long as Moochelle O’s arms—and is on Section 8, DSS, SNAP, HEAP, WIC, EIC, you name it.
Well, she is either dumber than 3 rocks or telling the truth.
Going on a ‘shoplifting spree’ as Chauffeur with Personalized Tags goes right up there with ‘Stupid Criminals’ all time greats.
I mean at least borrow (or confiscate) one of the baby daddys vehicles, and if nothing else you may implicate him.
People, People, ya gotta think these things out.
