Was Al Franken elected by 1000 felons?
New York Post ^ | 08/09/2012 | Abby W. Schachter

As Byron York notes in his explosive column , opponents of voter ID laws like to argue its a solution in search of a problem.

But when 1100 felons vote in a tight election and the result was decided by just 312 votes, maybe there really is a problem with voter fraud.

And that's just what happened in Minnesota in 2008, when Democrat Al Franken beat Republican Norm Coleman by 312 votes, giving a filibuster-proof majority to the Democrats so they could end up passing Obamacare.

The Minnesota Senate result was contested by Franken and an army of lawyers who ended up litigating a win. Now, because of the work of a group Minnesota Majority and reported by John Fund and Hans von Spasky in their new book "Who's Counting," it seems Franken's victory may be based on inelligible voting by convicted criminals.

"Minnesota Majority began to look into claims of voter fraud. Comparing criminal records with voting rolls, the group identified 1,099 felons -- all ineligible to vote -- who had voted in the Franken-Coleman race," York writes.

"Minnesota Majority took the information to prosecutors across the state, many of whom showed no interest in pursuing it. But Minnesota law requires authorities to investigate such leads. And so far, Fund and von Spakovsky report, 177 people have been convicted -- not just accused, but convicted -- of voting fraudulently in the Senate race. Another 66 are awaiting trial. "The numbers aren't greater," the authors say, "because the standard for convicting someone of voter fraud in Minnesota is that they must have been both ineligible, and 'knowingly' voted unlawfully."

That means that at least 243 votes of the 312 margin of Franken's victory were fraudulent.

If they can prove enough ineligible voters voted, what is the remedy?

If millions of other morons hadn’t voted for him, 1000 felons wouldn’t have mattered.

You know when John Roberts handed down his infamous decision I immediately thought of this. This travesty is the Republicans fault. They just laid down and took this. It was so blatant even back then. And I am assuming the same thing happened in Nevada

Hardly the first!

B1 Bob lost to fraud votes from illegal aliens who used the ID of nursing home patients, the employers who’s lawns they mowed, etc.

Investigation proved it, but the ball-less “republican leadership” refused to act on it as they feared “Alienating the hispanic vote”!

The illegals and felons of the left KNOW from prior experience that there is virtually NO chance their illicit vote result will be overturned, or that they will be punished if caught.

BTW, Remember a guy named Al Greene?

He was the accidental Democrat senate candidate in 2010 for North Carolina challenging Jim DeMint.

The thing about Greene was this -— He did not attend the state Democratic party convention, did not file legally required forms with the Secretary of the Senate or Federal Election Commission, and attempted to pay his $10,400 filing fee with a personal check, rather than a check from a campaign account.

THE DEMOCRATS DID NOT EVEN SUPPORT HIM AND SIMPLY GAVE UP THE SOUTH CAROLINA SEAT.

Jim DeMint did not even campaign and nobody took Al Greene seriously or even gave him a chance.

The final tally in 2010 -— DeMint 62%, Greene 28% with most of the remaining votes going to the Green Party of South Carolina.

In other words, close to 330,000 South Carolinians voted for Greene.

That’s a HUGE number for my taste.

I spent eleven winters in Minnesnowta during my younger years. (Yes, folks there do have years, but the heavy duty measure of time is winters.) I never wholly accommodated myself to the prevailing self-described "liberalism," but still miss people's friendliness and frankness, the plain old-fashioned honesty that seemed ordinary and abundant as air.

It's depressing to see Minnesnowta has turned its back on its best qualities and chosen the Chicago way.

Would the Dems engage in election fraud if it didn’t change the outcome? Of course the felons voting changed teh election.

It aooears he was, but the dems make no efforts to hide it. They`re backslapping each other over having gotten away with it. And they`re daring us us to stop them.

B-1 Bob, Coleman and dozens of others have been soundly defeated by voter fraud. If you remember the Soros effort, say 15 years ago to elect lefty, slimy Attorney's Generals in all states? THAT is the effort that the left does. They put into place the folks that COUNT the vote, so as not to have any challenge. Well, that worked, now didn't it.

This is why I do NOT want Pawlenty - he sat back and let that Al Franken thing just slide right by. We're next door to Minnesota and we like many were sickened to death that the election was challenged, then stolen. Kept counting, finding new lefty votes. Voila - Geesh, shazam Franken wins.

I am so sick of the Republicans for giving in, not fighting, not caring enough. Sick to death of the McCains, Boehners, Hatch and even Cantor who sides where the wind blows. THIS is why you see thousands go to ChickFilA, this is why you see thousands at a T.E.A. Party event. We are the backbone of this country, play by the rules and we are sick to death of getting pounded in the ground.

If we don't get Romney in office and Obama OUT in November this country is dead, I'm afraid. My 95 year old aunt IS in an assisted living home in Florida - her mind is sharp as a tack. Says every election - folks come in to help us vote - well she tells them to take a flying leap. Disgusting.

And for the voter ID - it all is part of the grand plan to keep fraud on the front burner. The only way libs win is to cheat. Ask Nixon about the JFK/Nixon race. oh wait... Old Joe Kennedy bought that election plus LBJ had funny business going on in TX. And the GOP? We just sit back and do nothing. Disgusting.

“If they can prove enough ineligible voters voted, what is the remedy? “

Win the Senate, goad him into doing or saying something stupid, then telling the people of Minnesota to get rid of him. After he is censured of course.

Play dirty.

felons are well-loved by MN state officials:

Twenty-four-year-old Javontez Lavel Ross pleaded guilty Thursday to possessing several bags of suspected heroin with intent to sell. But he asked Ramsey County District Judge Margaret Marrinan to postpone his sentencing so he could vote in the Nov. 4 election......... The judge granted his request, calling the contest a “historic election.”

...ball-less “republican leadership”...

It's a game of mutually assured destruction. Neither side will go first.

They're all crooks in need of exposure and justice.

Most all these “caves” are the fault of yellow bellied, no-nutz pubbies who love to “go along to get along” just to put food on their own greedy tables.

During the Revolution, they were called Loyalists, and they were tarred, feathered and had their houses burnt to the ground.

These types have been around to bedevil good people, since the beginning of time.

Ratz are what ratz are. They look you in the face and hisss their hatred of you. Rinos on the other hand smile at you, shake your hand, tell you they understand everything and they support you and back you; and at the last minute they jam the knife into your back, up to the hilt. (A guy named Roberts comes to mind.)

And they then try to explain to you that they “knew better what was good for you” and did it all “for your own good.” (peon, pleb, unwashed ignoramus....)

Don’t focus on the ratz, they are the minority and they will always be there. Focus on the fungus in your own house. It goes by the name RINO. Purge chase out that fungus and the ratz will fall by their own weight.

Tea Party...know the REAL enemy.
