Mitt Romney surrogate John Sununu called the Obama campaign deceitful and “stupid” Thursday when responding to an attack ad by the Obama-aligned super-PAC, Priorities USA.
Sununu said the Priorities USA ad distorted the truth and accused the Obama campaign of lying about coordination with the super-PAC.

The Fox News host showed a clip of Stephanie Cutter, Obama’s deputy campaign manager, telling CNN on Wednesday she hadn’t heard about Soptic’s story. The host then played a clip of a conference call with Cutter in May that featured Soptic.
“This not only reveals the character of deceit in this campaign, it also shows you how stupid the White House crowd and this campaign is,” Sununu said.
“And you know the interesting thing is even the liberal media is telling us how despicable this campaign is right now,” he said.

Unfortunately he’s not a NBC, otherwise he’d make a fine president if you ask me.
Calling them stupid is great. It will get under their skin.
I had Fox on briefly this afternoon and Lil’ Shep had his panties in a bunch, saying “Who wants to hear about each side calling each other a liar? I’m sure you don’t” That’s kind of how the left is going to play this. Obama’s side will tell crazy lies, and the left will say, well, they all do it. No news here.

Yet the Obama campaign is up 9 in tonight’s brand new Fox poll and 7 in CNN’s new poll. I’m sure the Dems are perfectly happy with “deceitful” and “stupid” since they are trouncing Willard at the moment.
It’s possible that the knowledge that the ad was false and Cutter lied about it will spur the DBM to be more curious and skeptical of ads supporting Obama. But probably what will happen is “in the name of balance”, they’ll just call Romney’s ads false as well. That’s probably the Obama aim - to just poison the well against all ads.

Yes, we can hang on hopes on Ras. Unfortunately, every single other poll shows Obama leading - sometimes quite substantially. It is pretty clear the electorate is simply more Democratic this cycle than it was in 2010 and Hussein’s negative ad assault is working.
