Ryan is okay - he is no Sarah.

Which is good. As much as I like her, she was just too easy for the lefties to trash and mock.

I hope she is. I just don’t trust Romney - he is a LIBERAL.

I'd be happy with bigger cuts---complete elimination of EPA, Education, Ag, etc..---but reasonable cuts will be adequate because of the energy boom that's coming which will generate a huge amount of taxpayers. And tax revenues. Not to mention all the capital that's sidelined until Obiecare and the hostile attitude toward business is repealed and removed.

Ryan's pick brings Medicare into sharp focus. They'll tackle it and the "dems-agogery" (I just realized the origins of that word) head on. This will be the campaign that puts the end to MediScare. Expect to hear, NO CHANGES IN MEDICARE FOR TODAY'S SENIORS.

Read my post!

I said it is not Christian to not accept Romney’s assertion that he has converted to the Pro-Life position.

As GailA continues to hang the pro-abort label on Romney.

Both were quite vocal in their announcement today...about Obiecare, and RTL. I suspect Mitt may be a closest conservative. I’m putting no credence to his record among the libs in Massachusetts.

When he was CJCS, Admiral Mike Mullen said “The number one national security issue is our debt”... Notice he didn't say Al-Qaeda, Terrorism, China, Iran nope he said “THE DEBT”

The media failed to report it for more than one cycle because Obama was on a spending spree of trillions and had no plan to reduce our debt or deficit, and was trying to undermine the bargaining for the debt limit increase fight that was happening on the Hill, anyway the bottom line is the Democrats entitlement programs are the root cause and do have the potential to completely destroy the U.S. currency in the near future.

Obama and Biden have no plan to manage the debt and fiscal crisis America faces, their Marxist share the wealth spending policies are what have brought us to this precipice

What a perfect ticket to amplify this message, if the American people have come to that fateful tipping point where the majority continues to vote itself largess from the public trust than effectively it is too late for America and our children and theirs will suffer the slavery of coming Dictatorship.

Nope, not Hillary; she was never in consideration.

One can only hope that Obamugabe will DblDn on stupid and put a Jan Schackowski or Debbie Wasserman-Mayonnaise in.

He could counter with a financial pick or pivot and grab a military type.

Keep your eye on Colin Powell.

(Might add too; the very name, principle of this website 'Free Republic'; could easily end, with a stroke of the Emperor's pen. Just give 'O' a few months. We have already seen his rule by 'dictate'. Fail to understand how anyone here; can underestimate the threat; given that we continue to witness (and decry here) the sickness of Obama, Inc. and all so associated. )

I was thinking that very thing earlier today. It is most certainly not out of the realm of possibility.

” I wanted Rubio safe in his Senate seat”

Ryan is going to be hard to replace as head of the House budget committee. They better find another fiscal hawk.

You don’t approve of Jesus because he couldn’t swim! Why else would he walk on the water?

You have just given the perfect answer to every objection that I have of Ryan. Thank you for setting me back on path.

Goldwater ran for real but Conservatism was new and the Party itself opposed him or apologized for him which was the same thing. Wilkie and Dewey I don’t know anything about. They were before my time. I do know that Ford, Bush I, Dole, and McCain ran as wimps and acted as if they did not to want to be President with McCain being the extreme- saying more good hings about the kenyan than about himself. I would not be surprised if Wilkie and Dewey ran also what has become a standard Republican presidential campaign. I suspect they wanted to win, though.

let me put it this way, i earned my pension and my contributions to the pension plan actually paid for it in toto until i am just over 200 years of age.

Now, did you pay for your pension? I bet you didn't.
