Is anybody actually excited about this pick? Isn't Ryan kind of a RINO? He has an A rating from the NRA, and he's pro-life (a devout Catholic), so I guess that's good.

I ain't jumping up and down like I did when Palin was picked.

Paul Ryan is no RINO.

From knowing the guy for years, he is every bit as conservative as Palin with a solid intellectual foundation that will serve the country well. He is a hunter, a devoted family man, solidly pro-life. He lives his beliefs, he doesn’t make a show of them.

Ryan is a man who has come up with a solid alternative vision for the future of our nation that will balance the budget and reverse the rush to socialism. That is what we need right now.

You may not be jumping up and down, but I am.

Ryan is the man we need for our future as a free people. My only disappointment is that he isn’t at the top of the ticket.

This was not the running mate willard wanted.I think he wanted McDonnell. But McD has not been able to deliver Va. The location does 2 things: it provides a tacit acknowledgement to a Virginia Problem and it gives a mild snub to McD as this is in his backyard.
