I like Ryan. But he is a part of the establishment. He is a go along to get along guy and won’t rock the boat. And VP’s don’t anyway so this is no big deal. Mitt is still just ABO. Big WOOP!

Conservatives do not need a “bridge”.

We need a real conservative as POTUS.

A “bridge” means two things.
First, Mr. RomneyCARE is in the wrong party.
Second, he will defer to the DNC on his next act.

Nonsense. Withing a campaign the nominee is a dictator. The VP has only as much influence as the candidate allows him.

The only bridge Romney can build to conservatives is adopt and FIGHT for our issues.

Very good move selecting Ryan

Now, as long as the Liberal RINOs do not try to sabotage the decision, like they still do with Sarah Palin....Ann Romney can run Rafalca all over the White House grounds in a few months.

It is a symbolic on-ramp to the Romney Socialist Highway, maybe a bridge like the on-ramps to I-10 in Louisiana. What is a symbolic figure going to do for Conservatism in a Romney administration? I voted for McCain because of Palin but realize now that would only reduced her effectiveness for Conservatism.

Romney remains Romney, but this is seen by me as a step in the right direction.

At least Romney didn’t pick Pawlenty, Saintorum, Rice or Bush.....color me surprised.

Still, there is a word I miss and long for. A word that makes me stand and smile.... that word I would have rather heard today is....... “LIPSTICK”.

Yep. Never saw this coming. Mitt threw us a bone. It even still had some meat on it.
Nice of him.

Sensing disgruntled FR cranks, Paul Ryan risked revealing his true identity and used his gruntlement vision:

"Ryan Seen As Romney’s Bridge To Conservatives"

Is that Romney's sole reason for picking Ryan? It appears to have been McCain's sole reason for picking Palin. How Romneys' campaign acts towards Ryan will tell us a lot, just as did McCain's campaign.
