When it became clear that Paul Ryan would be the Veep nominee this morning, the New York State Immigrant Action Center posted what might be the first race card play against Ryan as Veep nominee, accusing him of using the allegedly racist term “anchor babies”:
Paul Ryan has been tapped to be Mitt Romney’s running mate. Romney decided to pass on making a play for immigrant and Latino voters in favor of picking someone who is unlikely to appeal to these growig demographics.
"At this town hall in Wisconsin, a man identifying himself as a retired marine makes a speech making bizarre and racist claims about Latino immigrants. Ryan responds to this rambling set of conspiracy theories with agreement. Ryan then deploys the most racist term used by anti-immigrant radicals. He refers to United States citizens born to Latino parents as “anchor babies” even though the 14th Amendment to the Constitution calls them “citizens”.

“Anchor baby” isn’t a race-specific term. Anyone of any nationality/ethnicity/race can come over here illegally, have a child (citizen under the 14th Amendment as it is currently interpreted) and thus have an “anchor baby.”
When the marxist-communist left attacks moderate conservative constitutional patriots, any word will do. They just take ownership of the word, and run with it as if its an expletive against us. If they needed it, whenever voiced by and only by conservatives, they would declare racist such words as "and", "the" and "of".
How about HOOKER babies since we mostly get hooked for the tab on them for the rest of their lives and the lives of their parents?

If we called them “wetback spawn” ..that might be racial, but anchor baby is a term that can apply to both legal and illegal immigrants. It gives and immigrant an “anchor” to hang on to get a green card. I have known a number of couples..non-US citizens who deliberately had a US citizen baby while visiting or working in the US temporarily to insure that they could get a green card. One couple was British..and the wife didn’t want any children..but she agreed in order to give them the green card. So they had only one.

You would think that some clever Republicans could get together and come up with some smart comebacks to these accusations. The liberals always brainstorm, you can tell that. They have practice sessions where they learn how to deflect accustions, but not the Republicans.
Why....oh...Why...does everyone ignore the fact that is someone enters the US illegally...they have violated our immigration laws? Regardless if they have have a child,,,,they are felons! Why does the left keep protecting said felons?
Because that’s where their votes are.
If “the most racist term” these people know is “anchor babies” they need to get out more.
