Overflowing Banks: In Obama Ad, Actress Offers Tampon TMI, But Can't Say the Word 'Abortion'?

Actress Elizabeth Banks made a campaign video for Obama-Biden 2012 – just barely. Almost the entire 75 seconds is a defense of Planned Parenthood and their “essential services,” which is the euphemism feminists use to describe America’s leading provider of abortions.

In fact, Banks could not bring herself to even mention the word or the concept of abortions, except indirectly as “that little five percent” of controversial things PPFA does that judgmental Mitt Romney dislikes. This is quite shocking in its discretion, considering Banks unloads TMI and talks about her massive menstrual flow:

Elizabeth Banks on Planned Parenthood, Women's Health, and Women's Rights

BANKS: Planned Parenthood is something I care very deeply about. Um, Planned Parenthood was my health care provider when I didn't have insurance after graduating from college. Yes, I got birth control -- but it was for my massive migraine headaches and uh, my heavy flow -- yeah, I'm on record saying I've got a heavy flow.

And unfortunately, these are things I don't want to discuss with employers. I don't want to talk about that with my employer. That’s between me and my doctor. And that time, my doctor happened to be at Planned Parenthood. So I’m really grateful that they exist and provide essential services for women all over this country.

These services that they provide – uhhh, what is it? Ninety-five percent of them don’t involve anything controversial. So for that little five percent that Mitt Romney decides he doesn’t agree with, he’s going to take away – cancer screenings? What is he doing? He’s going to take away people’s access to health care, close by? We’re talking about working-class ladies that need health care. That’s it, that’s Planned Parenthood. And I don’t know how communites can get by without them.

President Obama has not compromised on um, women’s rights, and that’s why President Obama needs to stay in office.

Unbelievable, this actress lady is going on the TV and admitting to having premarital sex and using birth control pills that we know Kill Babies.

She is a slut and a murderer.

Let them dispense Depovera but outlaw abortions, and watch how loud they STILL scream.

Romney is the author of $50 co pay abortions, which is misleading, because if you say you don't have the $50, Romneycare pays all of it.

Fascinating. Miss Banks does not want to talk about her bodily functions with her employer - but she freely describes them in a national political ad. Hmmm. It is also interesting that she can’t bring herself to call abortion by its name...

I have read, and you may have also, articles stating that most of the cancer screenings “done” by PP are actually done outside PP at a non-associated clinic.

AGREE with everything you said. And she lied too. Unfortunately, judging by the comments following her ad, lots of idiots will be following her over the obama cliff.

Soooo...she doesn't want to discuss her "heavy flow" with her employer, only with her doctor? (This doesn't even make sense - who discusses their medical problems with their doctor even if they get health insurance through their employer?) However...she is perfectly willing to discuss her "heavy flow" with millions of people she hopes to reach with this campaign ad.

Secondly, I thought she just said she went to PP specifically BECAUSE she wasn't employed right after college and needed birth control for her "heavy flow".

Well, she IS blond.
