THAT got me, too. And it showed a passion in Romney he's not put on display before, and it was REAL!

This is a Romney people can connect with, and he needs to show it more often.

The Dems are masters at appealing to people's "hearts", because they know that emotional messages, and sound-bites, work!

The Pubs tend to appeal to people's "minds"--which is fine, but it does not hurt to use combine emotions with those ideas, so that BOTH minds and hearts respond.

If Romney and Ryan can keep their message simple--as in those 5 points--and then combine it with the kind of emotion they each just displayed, Obama's "gutter politics" is going to end up dumping a s---load, on his own head!

I imagine it was someone from that group. We have some classic protesters such as ‘pink dress guy’, ‘segway boy’, ‘bike lock girl’ (she locked her head to the rotunda bars, they cut her out, she should have been left there). There are more, but you get the idea.

I don’t want Obama again, and I mean it.

Unfortunate for folks who don’t understand this, the guy I vote for has to come up to a certain standard or they are not worthy my vote either.

That is what both of us has to deal with.

I voted for Bush the second time, and look what he handed off. What’s worse, he did it in Conservatism’s and my name.

He facilitated an atmosphere that saw the worst candidate ever, and actual enemy of the nation, get elected.

Think I want to repeat that on my dime?

I felt the same as you, but looked at it with an open mind. Now, especially with Ryan on board, I feel better about it. Honestly, better than the McCain campaign. Use your logic, research and learn more. Hope that helps.

I’ve thought for a while that Obama was going to lose. 2010 was the strongest clue of voter anger and GOP enthusiasm.

I have full trust in Romney’s campaign team. He’s got the best minds money can buy. They performed flawlessly during the primaries.

There will be many ups and downs. There’s nothing more dangerous than a cornered Rat, and if Obama thinks he’s cornered, he will be more nasty and vicious that we thought possible. He’ll have the help of the fawning media. If we’re lucky, he’ll get rattled and make more gaffes like “the private sector’s doing fine” or “you didn’t build that”.

Remember the optimism you have tonight, because there are going to be many, many occasions in the next few months where you will feel very discouraged. The truth must be rewarded and lies punished. Keep the faith!

Ryan is going to be a GREAT campaigner. This is just the beginning and he’s already knocking their socks off.

I was utterly blown away by this rally in Wisconsin. Ryan came on like gangbusters and whipped the crowd into a frenzy. Then Romney came on and after a cautious start, he too began whipping the crowd into a frenzy. I believe that Ryan has stepped up Romney's game and will be feeding off his energy the rest of the campaign.

I love the way that Romney shouted down that heckler. Pointed his finger at him and gave him a short lecture. Then Romney told Obama to "get his campaign out of the gutter" to rapturous applause. After that, Romney had the crowd in the palm of his hands.

Palin injected a similar amount of energy into McCain's campaign but it's a different dynamic this time. Ryan is a Beltway veteran and is used to challenging the President's policies and taking on the media. No learning curve for Ryan with respect to how to handle the media. Poor little bubblehead Katie Couric is probably shaking in her boots at the prospects of interviewing him. Ryan will run circles around her and make her look foolish. Every time Ryan shows up on mainstream media, he's going to be winning hearts and minds of the viewers because he knows how to frame the issues in laymen's terms and he's not afraid to go on the offensive.

Palin had an uphill battle turning around the tepid McCain campaign, not to mention they were fighting the tidal wave of the hatred for George Bush and the Obama "hopey changey" phenomenon. Ryan joins the Romney campaign at a time when it is (at worst) dead even with Obama, if not already a few points ahead. Now the surge begins and suddenly it's 1980 all over again.

Yup, that kind of behavior, from the heart, will not win over the female vote/suburban soccer moms! (Sarc)

I HATE THEM WITH A PASSION and I’ll do whatever needs to be done to get RnR elected! We are at a crossroad, it’s do or die and I ain’t giving up without a serious fight...HELL NO, NO WAY! Tomorrow is prayer and fasting for America! God help us win this race!

That may have been his top skill when at Bain, making the right subordinate picks. I think he did a great job here. Note that Romney isn’t threatened by picking a guy that is really sharp.

Astute observation. Note how Obama had to pick a bumbling idiot like Biden so that he could appear to be the smarter one. Actually I think Obama's staff picked Biden for him. I don't think Obama could make a decent hire on his own if you put him in charge of a hot dog stand.

Obama is only the figurehead in this administration. The marxist Left used Obama as a tool to gain power and they are the ones calling the shots behind the scenes. This is why it is so important to throw Obama and his handlers out on their asses this November. Even if it means voting for Romney. Though the past 48 hours are going to make this medicine go down a little smoother.
