The republican party lost me when they nominated Romney.

I’ll re-register as Republican once he’s gone.

“This election is all about getting rid of socialists, progressives, and liberals in the white house”

Which is why we’ve got Romney...

I’m sure he’ll make getting rid of socialists, progressives and liberals high on his agenda.

Romney wasn’t my first choice, but I think adding Ryan definitely boosts the ticket. We have to start somewhere. Another four years of Obama would be a disaster for this country.

Re: More and more “Millennials” or Generation Y youth... are avoiding party membership.

If only this had taken place years ago... think how better off we would be today!

If you're a young voter, you have the energy to join the Party and change it. Point out our shortcomings, but come with some ideas for fixing them. What better option do you have?

They just tried that. Intelligent, educated young people showed up in large numbers to the conventions this year. Several of them were even elected to delegate positions. They fought for the Constitution, sound fiscal policy, stopping government invasion of our lives, extreme government spending cuts, a foreign policy like Reagan's, and ending the Federal Reserve. They were not welcomed.

Ballots were stuffed at the conventions for Romney, rules were broken so that these supporters would not have a voice, they were kicked out, and the Romney campaign forced these duly elected delegates from their positions and replaced them with their hand-picked candidates after the conventions.

Why would Republicans turn away the new, youthful voice of America? They were Ron Paul supporters.

I have to say that most of the conventions disgraced this party. After 20 years of being a Republican, I have to say I am very disappointed in the Romney nomination and the entire process. We need these youth and we are shooting ourselves in the foot.

” - - - Our elected officials no longer listen to the people. They listen to the special interests with the big bucks and are only interested in getting re-elected. “

Your above quote includes the erroneous Liberal Agenda Media hype that politicians “ - - - listen to the special interests with the big bucks - - -. “

If that were true then Obama, Poo-low-see, Reid and the rest of the Democrats would have done the following:
not voted for TARP,
rejected the various Federal “stimulus” bills,
passed a Federal Budget every year,
reduced Federal BASELINE spending 1 % per year, every year on all Entitlement programs, and other non-essential Federal Programs,
passed a four year Federal hiring freeze law,
rejected Dodd-Frank,
rejected Obama”care,”
reduced the regulation strangulation on our once Fortress Banks,
forced Bernanke to allow interest rates to be more controlled by the financial markets,
allowed the US Housing Market to resolve the “underwater” homeowners who bought their houses at peak high prices,
passed legislation to sell off and within 10 years abolish FHA, Freddie and Fannie, so this Federal Housing Crash could never happen again,
revoked the sub-prime housing laws that led to the cause of the Housing Crash of 2008,
held Congressional investigations and follow up Legislation into the Federal Irresponsibility and criminal behavior of FHA, Freddie Mac, and Fannie Mae executives and regulators,
cut all Federally elected politician’s pay by 10% a year until the Federally-caused Housing Crash of 2008 returned to normal,
reduced the BASELINE entitlement payments by 5 % across all programs if the annunal deficit is greater that 100 Billion Dollars for the previous year,
lowered the Federally dictated Minimum Wage,
suspended the Federally dictated unfunded mandates to all 50 States,
suspended all Federal Public Union Contracts until the US Federal National Debt is reduced to the amount it was at the end of the GHWB Years,
allowed drilling in the Gulf of Mexico while BP killed their underwater blowout,
immediately approved the revised XL pipeline construction proposal,
suspended all EPA regulations on Coal, Oil and Gas fracturing, and CO2 emissions,
sent the GSA executives to jail,
assigned GSA functions to multiple government agencies,
sold Air Force 2 and other duplicate Federal Corporate Jets,
restricted use of Air Force One to one flight a month, domestic, and one flight a year Foreign,
reduced the Executive Privileges of the Presidency to resulting expenditures not to exceed 1 Million dollars,
revoke the authority of the Administrative Branch to award Contracts, or give loans that have not had the official notification published for 30 consecutive days in the US Congressional Record;
etc., etc.,etc.

The rest of your two statements have supporting evidence. The Media anti-business hype segment, TO THIS MOMENT IN TIME, has NO supporting evidence.

“Both” political parties seek the lowest common denominator of poverty-driven dependency on Federal Welfare dollars to buy the votes of the ever-increasing number of voters in poverty in the vicious loop of European Socialism.

Thus, the US Federal Government has truly become “To Big to Fail.”

IOW, in true Orwellian/Volker doublespeak: “Since the US Federal Government is ruining America financially, we must keep on allowing the US Federal Government to become even more powerful financially, because if we don’t, then America will be ruined financially even more than it is now being ruined financially.”

BTW, last year more “millionaires and billionaires” renounced their US citizenships than in any other previous year - - - . Duh.

I’m the firebrand that political players don’t like...I have the energy to enact change, and this, from what I can see, is the most effective way to make it happen.

Well, it sounds like you're doing the right thing. I think the Tea Party is a force for change within the Republican Party. The TP is not trying to advance a third party, but rather, change an existing party that is most aligned with its ideals. Bravo.

You talk about marginalizing the RINOs elites as if it was a bullet point on a timeline. It isn’t that simple. It has to be an ongoing process because of how deeply the elites are entrenched in the Republican Party, and waiting only makes it more difficult.

We need to start with Romney. Everybody here knows that he has no core values, but we can make that work for us if we bring pressure against him to shore up his conservative credentials.

This election will begin and end on the economy. As it stands, Romney’s plan for the economy is laughable at best. Don’t you remember him struggling to explain it during the primary debates? Stand up, rock the boat, raise hell, and make sure that Slick Willard knows that he can’t ignore us!

The smaller the Republican Party gets the more my vote in the primary counts. That is where the weeding is supposed to take place.

The republican party lost me when they nominated Romney.

So whom do you expect to vote for in the general election this November, if not Romney? Will you enter a write-in candidate? Will you choose some Libertarian with no chance to capture more than 2% of the vote? What do you expect your vote to accomplish, if not to elect whom we have as our candidate? Another four years of Obama? That'll teach us...

“So whom do you expect to vote for in the general election this November, if not Romney?”

Virgil Goode. Prolife and supports traditional marriage.

“What do you expect your vote to accomplish, if not to elect whom we have as our candidate?”

To give Goode the support he deserves, as he is the candidate closest to my own principles.

What do you expect your ballot to accomplish?

Not up to him. That's for us voters to do. I'm working with my neighbor (a Tea Partier who got elected as a Precinct Captain) to work our local neighborhood, and change enough minds oust Sherrod Brown as well as Obama. The DNC Headquarters is a block from my house where ACORN used to be headquartered.
