FOOD STAMPS: "The House bill would cut current food stamp spending by about 2 percent, or $1.6 billion, a year. The Senate version would reduce food stamp spending by about $400 million a year."

Ryan wouldn’t pass a bill that would increase this year’s budget deficit from $1.5 trillion to $2.0 trillion? Good for him!

I thought one of Obama’s very first actions as president was to shut off the water to all those farmers in California. He destroyed countless lives and raised the price of produce.

Reports on ABC radio news say Obama is going to buy livestock and give the food to food banks....that is how he is going to help farmers. How the H does that help farmers? If he is not paying above market price, he is buying food that every consumer could buy.
Farmers want him to stop the EPA demand for ethanol from corn so they can feed their livestock easier. Once they sell off, it will not be easy to buy back. But no! We have to burn our food and give what food exists away! Please someone call him on this illogical scheme which is vote buying.

Ryan’s in Iowa today too. I’m sure he’s ready for it. Anxiously awaiting his rally.

Ryan is the perfect antidote to Obama's obfuscation and smoke-blowing re: the issues.
Ryan will use plain English to debunk ALL of Obama's false claims (including farm aid). And then the best of Ryan's explanations can be turned into ads.

The drought is a new line of attack from Obama on the campaign trail on a day when both he and Ryan are campaigning in the crucial Midwest battleground state. From The Wall Street Journal:
"House leaders note that they passed a narrower drought-relief measure, but Senate Democrats rejected it, saying it was no substitute for a broader farm bill."

I can tell you right now, Obama will get very little support from farmers. We are not currently praying for the farm bill to pass to keep us going even though everything is burned up. Those days are past. Keep flailing POTUS, you are finished!

The best way to help these states is for leaders in Congress to pass a farm bill It's always more and more and more legislation, isn't it?

It’s rather unusual for a President to directly attack the VP pick of his opponent. But then... Obama is no President.

Farmers LOVE Food Stamps. It’s how they move product to people who have no money.

More than any other group in the country, farmers understand what it means to “leave a legacy”. Our where I live, you don’t have to drive far to find “centennial farm” signs, meaning they have been in the family 100 years. Farmers are the ultimate entrepreneur, battling odds that no one (not even the climate-liars of East Anglia) can predict.
Trust me, the core midwestern farmers care a LOT more about what Obama has done to enslave and empoverish future generations than about lining their own pockets with free money. Just watch.
Those who don’t, have already sold out.

I think it’s going to start shortly. Fox has pictures of the state fair in the background already.
