I wonder if this “crazed gunman” has any links to neuroscience programs...

Or any psychiatric or "mind-expansion" programs. Except for one online article, the MSM never talked about Jared Loughner's connection to deconstructionism. His web page (FB?) was full of deconstructionist garbage (words have no meanings other than what we give them in the moment). And he was into lucid dreaming.

I guess it’s just a weird San Antonio problem then.

This is probably a government operation akin to gunwalker. The odds of this many gun crimes involving wakos in such a short period of time is suspect. The purpose is to reinstate the Assault Ban and trample Second Amendment Rights.Every contact this person had in the last three years should be investigated as well as any large amounts of money in secret accounts.IMHO I would not doubt anything this administration would do to try to get firearms out of the hands of law abiding citizens.

Apparently it was an “automatic” weapon and a “mass” shooting. But then aren't they all. I'm not so sure there really are more of these “mass” shootings. Just more labeled as such. Was it a mass shooting in Boston this weekend when 3 people were killed on a basketball court? How many have to be involved to be classified as mass anyway? Multiple yes, but mass sounds like it carries a certain crazed gunman connotation since it is usually only associated with nut jobs firing at crowds. This guy in College Station apparently was being served a warrant to evict. Not saying he's not nuts just not quite the same thing as a mass murderer.

What’s up with all these shootings?

Seems like a lot of sleeper cells are waking up.

SA has a no-longarm-carry law on the books. They will arrest you for it, then drop the charges later before you can be prosecuted, so they don’t get smacked down by the state supremacy clause.

As for Austin, they have enough armed hippies (remember, our Dems are different) that they don’t want to touch that at all.

I suspect that this craziness that we are seeing is a function of hoplessness that many people feel these days.

Most just endure it until things turnaround, a very few act out their hoplessness in the public arena.

Assuming he’s headed for Fish Camp? Four Ag sons here, plus an Aggie sweetheart we added to the family and now two toddlers dressed in maroon.

Your son is in for a wonderful time and an excellent education.

Evil and crazy people know enough that they prefer not to be shot. Ergo the choice of their killing grounds.

One unconfirmed report has it that this started as an eviction from a Sec 8 area, and the sheriff who made initial contact is the one who is dead.

It may be a dumpy area, but Aggies live in all of them.

Good points you’ve made. Had not thought why the multiple weeking killings in Chicago and other places have not been classified as mass shootings.

This was off-campus, in a residential area.

Concealed weapons, or unconcealed, for that matter, were not banned where the shooting took place.

This really has nothing whatsoever to do with the University or with gun control.

If early reports are true, some guy didn’t pay his rent, officers went to serve eviction notice, and he shot them.

As for the location being “near” the campus, or Kyle Field, or the Bush Library, or the Assn. of Former Students building — it’s a small city.

In College Station, everything is near everything else.

2 dead. One constable, one civilian. So probably serving warrant or eviction. Suspect shot and in hospital.
