Mayo Clinic: Jackson Has Bipolar Depression

Doctors say Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. is under treatment for bipolar disorder.

A release Monday from the Mayo Clinic states that the Democrat underwent an extensive evaluation and is responding well to treatment for the disorder at the facility in Rochester, Minn. The release says Jackson is regaining his strength.

Jackson spokesman Frank Watkins declined to comment.

The clinic says that Bipolar II disorder is a treatable condition that affects parts of the brain controlling emotion, thought and drive and is likely caused by a complex set of genetic and environmental factors.

Jackson has been away from the public eye since June 10 when family members said he collapsed at their Washington home. He’s been on an extended leave of absence from Congress.

So I guess this will be Jackson’s excuse.

If you are bipolar enough to be in a hospital for weeks, you have been on a wild ride and I guarantee you’ve taken a lot of loved ones on it with you.

I’ve heard the man. I don’t agree with practically anything he says, but I hope and pray he finds a healing. Because it’s a horrid illness. Maybe this is why we haven’t heard much from his dad lately.

Cocaine probably doesn't make much difference when it comes to bipolar disorder, but he would have been exhibiting symptoms of that problem for several decades ~ which, in fact, could be easily misunderstood as Democrat philosophy.

Ted Turner does this too. In fact, the grandiose proposals popping up among liberals suggests strongly that most of them are, at least some of the time, wholly bipolar and utterly whacked out.

The biggest problem victims have is self-medication. Long before they're ever diagnosed they get a snoot full of everything. Next thing you know they're really messed up, and this otherwise 'treatable' (but not curable) problem because a whole zoo of problems.

Jackson probably triggered his latest bit of cycling with several gallons of distilled beverages topped off with drugs of choice readily found on Chicago's mean streets. It's a wonder he didn't kill himself this time.

My prediction is he will reject treatment with the few drugs that work and will go back to his old ways pretty soon. Those feelings of occasional exhilaration are a major piece of it.

offering money for a senate seat can lead to bipolar disorder....but it clears up quickly as soon as the pardon comes down

Mayo said he went under extensive evaluation. That sounds like he had never been diagnosed.

Why did he recently have gastric by pass surgery?? He’s not that big.

“Bipolar II disorder is a treatable condition that affects parts of the brain controlling emotion, thought and drive and is most likely caused by a complex set of genetic and environmental factors,” the clinic wrote

“Bipolar disorder is characterized by swings between mania and depression. According to the clinic, bipolar II is less severe than bipolar I; mania is less severe, while periods of depression last longer. “

Exactly, I wish this meant we were rid of him permanently, but crooked, whacked-out liberals don’t have anywhere else
to go. They can only survive on other people’s money.

The doctor wouldn’t have released this information if Jackass didn’t want it public.

If Jesse Jackson Jr. is looking for sympathy, he can find it in the dictionary between sh!t and syphilis.

With bipolar politicians the periods of depression would be when they do their constituency service. The other part they're just raging maniacal Leftwingtards!

The Democrats have had a number of these guys in recent years ~ the crazy guy in Florida, the other one who thought he lived with his mother in law, and Plugs ~ he's had brain surgery three times, all unsuccessfully!

Obama shows a separate delusional aspect ~ more likely he's got a different problem.

Maybe he was the one who did the dirty work of offing the Kennedy wife that recently was found hung in NY. A good dose of psychtropic drugs and he’s off the hook - oops.
