Election 2012: Mitt Romney's selection of the House Budget Committee chairman as his running mate focuses the 2012 choice as one between progressive chaos and capitalist growth, budgetary control and job creation.
Speaking at the 2010 health care summit, Paul Ryan, after documenting the fiscal disaster of ObamaCare and exposing its budgetary "gimmicks," told President Obama, "if you think they (the American people) want a government takeover of health care, I would respectfully submit you're not listening to them."
American voters made that point perfectly clear that November, turning control of the House to the GOP.
When Romney picked the seven-term congressman from Wisconsin, he did not pick a milquetoast policy wonk, but a capable spokesman for sound governance, the second half of a team that will hopefully bring the White House what it sorely lacks competence.
Ryan is a bold choice that underscores this isn't just a referendum on the economic wreckage caused by Obama, but a choice between two different futures and two different economic philosophies, between a vision that gave us Staples and another that gave us Solyndra.
We have seen the fruits of Obama's economic vision and they are rotten. His economic philosophy seeks to redistribute wealth rather than create more of it. Its solution to poverty is to make everyone equally poor.
Government is that from which all blessings flow and decides which rights and how much of our earnings we get to keep and use.

Of course Ryan on Medicare is the planned big attack by the Dems. Pat Buchanan, who I really like, but unfortunarely said that on Medicare Romney should get his answer down pat, then move on.
ITS NOT GOING TO BE THAT EASY! Medicare reform provides the potential to gain much of the youth vote, but we know the pitfall. Now R&R must embark on a systematic campaign to sell the Ryan / Romney plan. Anything less probably will spell disaster, as the Dems are going on the fear-mongering attack.
Base our ads etc on this outstanding 4 minute Ryan video, and also work to promote the video to the youth and seniors. Try to make it go viral:

Romney & Ryan -- and we -- should welcome the opportunity to engage on the issue.

You loved that show right?
Yup, me and Rosie O’Doughnuts. Of course, instead of NY Democrat Senator Francis Michael Xavier Ryan ending up as the VP nominee (instead of Gerry Ferraro), it’s the Wisconsin Congressman. Of course, Paul doesn’t have the skeletons that Frank did. ;-D
