Biden on Romney: ‘They’re going to put y’all back in chains’

Biden on Romney: ‘They’re going to put y’all back in chains’

Vice President Joe Biden told supporters that Republicans would “put y’all back in chains,” during a campaign speech Tuesday in Danville, Va.

VICE PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN: They’ve said it. Every Republican’s voted for it. Look at what they value and look at their budget and what they’re proposing. Romney wants to let the—he said in the first 100 days, he’s going to let the big banks once again write their own rules–unchain Wall Street. They’re going to put y’all back in chains. He’s said he’s going to do nothing about stopping the practice of outsourcing…
Biden was introduced at the campaign event by Center for American Progress Action Fund president Tom Perriello, who called Biden “the conscience of our nation’s capital.”

UPDATE: Romney campaign spokesperson Andrea Saul said Biden’s “chains” comments were unacceptable.

“The comments made by the vice president of the United States are not acceptable in our political discourse and demonstrate yet again that the Obama campaign will say and do anything to win this election,” Saul said in a statement released by the campaign. ”President Obama should tell the American people whether he agrees with Joe Biden’s comments.”

Obama deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter said Monday the campaign has “no problem with those comments,” in an interview with Andrea Mitchell.

Compare the response to Perot's "You People" quote to Biden's "Y'all" quote...

Is there any doubt that Dems assume African Americans to be stupid?

Is our Vice-President attempting to incite riots? He should be held liable for this.

Just saw a STUNNING report on CNN. They had a Romney guy on (Vin Weber, I think) to talk about this. There was the quote under the talking head the whole time, there was Brooke Baldwin, asking in an ominous tone, teeing it up for the Republican, “Well, Congressman, what do you think of this?” And, I swear to God, the dumb, stupid, ignorant, unimaginably dense freaking tard dumb-ass, spent the entire 5 minute segment attacking the FIRST part of the quote, the part about banking regs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not ONE SINGLE SYLLABLE addressed to the outrageous statement. NOT ONE!
Where do we find these GD FOOLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It will be interesting to see how the lame-stream media makes this a “NON-STORY”.

Actually using Y’all when you aren’t southern is pretty damned condescending to all southerners in my experience...

But bless his heart for trying.

In business there is something called “golden handcuffs”.

The people Biden is talking to are already in chains. The modern word for it is “welfare” or “food stamps” or “section 8 housing”.

Hmmm? I'm not by any stretch of even the most fevered imagination a Perot supporter, but even I can't help but notice the disparity in coverage/MSM attitude.

Anything anyone to the right of Chairman Mao says in front of a black audience is racist.

Anything a democrat says is in solidarity with people of color.

Romney should play that clip on all of the networks as a commercial. He could comment that this is what divisive and racist campaigning is about and that he wants to bring the country together. I know it’s simple but consider the audience.

Ironic that the ‘rats are enslaving blacks in gov’t dependency,
and enslaving the middle class to pay for that dependency,

and all the while making the blacks believe that the ‘rats are “gettin’ back at whitey” for them.

Yep. I still have them, and in a way, appreciate them for what they represent: food on the table.
