As long as you have been here, I am saddened that you would even ask that!! There are no words!

“I am considering voting for Ryan as well - by writing him in as President.”

That's not not a bad idea...start a write in Ryan campaign.

“God is with you”, Ok how do you reconcile that with the fact Romney is pro abortion and homosexual agenda?
When you say Mormons love God as much of the rest of us, which god are you referring to as they teach multiple gods.

To: Jim Robinson; All
Internet blogs are buzzing with reports of a massive crack up in FR, with anti-Romney sentiment standing toe-to-toe with open anti-Mormon bias, FReepers are abandoning Jim Robinson’s burning ship in droves, populating sites like www.gopbriefingroom.com to discuss the chaotic status of Free Republic.

*shaking head*

My money's on Jim Robinson not giving a particular damn about what gopbriefingroom thinks about the status of FR, and I have a hunch the 300 or so (that's my educated guess) posting/occasionally posting FReepers who get that voting for a liberal always guarantees a bad outcome regardless of party, don't give a particular damn either.

It is mind boggling to watch this transpire -- conservatives are voting for a liberal in the hopes that once in office, he will be less liberal because he's a Republican. They are terrified that the same congress they think will "keep Romney's feet to the fire" for eight years, would be too chicken-hearted, even with fresh faces added to their numbers, to oppose an unpopular Obama for the next four.

Vote for a liberal, vote fur guaranteed regret. So it will be with millions of conservatives who knew better, should Romney get a majority.

Pray for a plurality and vote for a plurality.

“These fingers are obsessed with you and FR, Jim””

That would be a very creepy thing to say.

Oh, it was the wrong thread for the question, and I apologize. But I really am curious about the dynamic between the two men and I thought you might have an insight.

This obviously isn't 0bama/Biden, and I don't see it as W/Cheney. Clinton/Gore? No, Algore was completely useless even then. Nixon/Agnew? Ryan doesn't fit the role. Roosevelt/Truman?

What influence Ryan does have regarding policy is not an idle question, it will be absolutely determinative for a large number of conservative voters, myself for one. We can discuss it somewhere else - this thread is a little raw for this sort of thing, but it's what we used to do on FR all the time. Isn't it? :-)

And no matter what Romney is saying, his advisers have said he is not going to repeal ObamaCare.

I keep explaining over and over that you can vote for whomever you please. I’m not urging anyone to do what I’m doing. Personally, I cannot vote for an abortionist or a homosexualist or a gun grabber or a big government socialist or a liberal progressive statist. Romney is all of those things rolled into one. I’m just one man, with one vote. I pray he doesn’t need it because he’s not going to get it.

But I do strongly urge all conservatives and grassroots tea party folks to turn out and vote. Vote straight conservative if you can. We need conservative executives and conservative controlled legislative bodies elected into every elective office in every state and locale all across this great land so we can wrest control and power away from the socialists and return it to the states and we the people as the constitution clearly states.

And with the conservative majorities, I’d like to see a whole lot of impeaching, recalling, rescinding, overturning, abolishing, slashing, closing down, cutting, etc, etc, etc. We don’t need any new healthcare programs, welfare programs, safety nets, or new taxes, we just need to abolish and close down a whole lot of old failed socialist departments, agencies, programs, regulations and policies.

Set our people free to produce an prosper, an let the free economy soar!!

“And I’m ready to pack my bags for Texas the moment they decide to secede from the United Socialist States of America!! God, bless TEXAS!!”

You can say ‘Y’all can go to hell! I’m going to Texas!”

I would say it, but I’m already in Texas.

You know what... you last post to me was about Anti Christians.. I told you then , so who are next the jews? you didn't get it

why? because you are an idiot!!!! I can't judge a person on this earth and neither can you, if you follow God! Only God decides who gets into Heaven!! I am not worried about who gets in, are you? If you are then you have a problem!!

What I find intolerable are people speaking for God!!!

That would be you, but you have already shown you are an idiot so have no desire to post to you anymore!!!So buh bye!

You can never go home. Things change irretrievably, and the past may cause longing, but reconstructing it is never possible.

I think that if the FReepers who left wanted to leave because of some perceived flaw in Jim’s site, then they’re certainly welcome to go. However I find their gossip and lies about Free Republic to be repugnant in the extreme, and that was what I meant by my post.

Their nattering on to anyone who will listen about how horrible we are here doesn’t do anybody any good at all, including the people whose stated goal is the destruction of this site. TBLers, you know who you are.

I like Ryan and wish he was at the top of the ticket, but what you state is true. Ryan has already folded his tent and is now flying Romney’s flag. As VP, he has no choice but to defend the company line. And the company is, the GOPe.

That’s pretty funny. I actually post with that fellow EveningStar on a different forum. I thought he spent his time only trolling that forum, I did not know he got around as far as Free Republic. His posts are usually of the passive aggressive variety.

Will not work. Partly Loyalty to Romney will trump your gripes 99% of the time.

All depends if we have the numbers on our sides. The liberals whacked Bush on Social Security. We need to do the same on our issues.

Actually, they used to run for two weeks or so. And someone will correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe that the record really is one week.

I don’t blame Jim or FR for their going on for weeks. I think a lot of the blame rests on the O’Bambi economy, the 17% unemployment rate, and the doubling of grocery and fuel prices.

Another thing that didn’t help was the propaganda spread on the site by “anti-FReepers” and “anti-Jimmers” (their own terms, not ours) about Jim’s being “greedy” and not really needing the amount of money at which he sets his (private, for-profit, donation-funded) company’s FReepathon goals.

A LOT of gullible FReepers bought into all that nonsense.

There are going to be thousands of voters who are curious about mormonism....this is a good advertisement for FR as a site to gather information that is not just propaganda from Salt Lake City. Welcome in advance, Truth-Seekers!

THANK YOU!

Very good word and I know exactly what you mean. They were very active during the primaries claiming to support conservatives and accusing all others of working for Romney. Then when Romney was the last "man" standing, they quickly declared that we all need to support the nominee and then they quit posting for another 4 years.
