The Childishness of the American Left
American Thinker ^ | August 15, 2012 | Steve McCann

The American left is the most self-indulgent, arrogant, and spoiled group of people on the face of the earth. They live in a nation facing national bankruptcy and societal upheaval -- a country presently subsisting on the residue of past economic achievements. Yet the only things that matter to them are their lifestyles and imposing their self-determined superiority on rest of the American people.

The true indebtedness of the United States now exceeds $222 trillion. Appearing on National Public Radio in August of 2011 Professor Laurence J. Kotlikoff of Boston University said:

I’ve been saying it for two years now. “Liberalism is immaturity, cloaked with the pretense of moral and intellectual superiority.”

Now to have it classified as a mental illness sufficient to remove their voting privilages. And no, I’m not kidding.

The manner in which these progressives, and their titular leader Barack Obama, are conducting themselves in the current campaign season is indicative of their arrogant and immature mindset. To the vast majority on the left, this campaign is merely a game played out on the playground of American politics, wherein they childishly engage in name-calling and temper tantrums reminiscent of spoiled brats determined to get their way, regardless of the consequences.

Hey! He remembers the 1960s campus "radicals" (psycho spoiled brats actually) too! Or at least he's learned about them -- or maybe just knowing their bratty ideological issue was enough to know what they are.

Yep. I just got a one month suspension on a liberal site for having the audacity to post an article that says that the tactics of the homosexual lobby are similar to the tactics of the early Nazi party.

And nobody could refute my arguments while they used the very tactics the article spoke of. And after my suspension, a few of them pointed out that my suspension proved my point. ;-)

They live in a nation facing national bankruptcy and societal upheaval...

Some think this is their plan, the only way to get to their "utopian" society - crash it all down, create anarchy, and start over. I'd like to start over in a new nation without the libs. Let them have their utopian society somewhere else.

Something makes me think that it would only be a few years and they would look straight out of 1984.

The guy is using PRESENT VALUE analytical methods to come up with that number of "true indebtedness".

Such numbers have some meaning when it comes to comparing two alternatives, but standing there nekkid and alone they're mostly just crazy talk.

This article sets in to clear focus the choices we are faced with in the upcoming election:

1) Help the left push the US over the cliff they’ve been dragging us over for decades, by reelecting obama (in the act of NOT voting against him). We can hope that once it’s all done and the wreckage has been cleared we have something that resembles a country left worth living in.

2) Choose an unknown quantity in Romney, who despite recent conservative sounds has a record of being a moderate who has pushed and supported the ideas that the left holds dear, with the hopes that some sort of conservative spark can be kindled in him, his administration and polices. At the very least, his pro business attitude will help people become more self sufficient and less dependent on the government, which in turn leads to a more conservative world view at the personal level.

Personally, I’d like to slow the liberal slide by unelecting the person who has shown he hates America and replace him with a person and/or program that is at least pro-American; if not as conservative as I’d like. The alternative; letting the libs win this round, will surely set us on a path that will lead to a very bloody and destructive confrontation. The outcome of which would be very much in question, despite our desires to think that we know how things would turn out.

Just my 2 cents, your mileage may vary.

The great bulk of Obama’s support came from non-Boomers. The Millenials put Obama in office, and the majority of mills still support Obama. Get your facts straight.
