Can stuff like this cut into Obama's Latino Vote? (Vanity)
NBC News ^ | August 15, 2012 | pistolpackinpapa

It's common knowledge that there is much distrust and dislike between the Latino and Black communities; for whatever reasons. (For one thing, some Blacks feel like Latinos come here and cut into their Entitlements.) Now, I read an article today that says 7 Latino Elementary School students, in Camden, New Jersey, won a $500,000 lawsuit against a School District and a Black school vice principal. There is already "discord" among Blacks and Latinos in Camden (per the article). The reason for the lawsuit: A Latino child spilled water, and for punishment, 15 Latino kids had to eat off of tray liners, on the gymnasium floor for two (2) weeks while being taunted by the Black kids, and Black vice principal. The Black kids ate at tables off of trays. Only 7 of the 15 Latino kids filed the lawsuit. The vice principal's punishment??? He transferred to another school. The teacher who told the Latino kids to go home and tell their parents about the punishment was fired.

So, what's my point? The Romney/Ryan camp, the Super Pacs and the RNC, needs to remind Latino voters that the only thing the first Black President and the Black community care about them is their vote for the candidates with the (D) behind their name. And, remind them that them that the demographic with highest Unemployment Rate in the nation are Latinos. So, why should they vote for Obama and the Dems? And, I'm not opposed to every Latino/Black conflict being exploited to remind Latinos that they are not loved by the Black community and "their" Black President. They are just being used. Where's the Immigration Reform he promised? Where are the jobs?

Hey, if this was a white principal and white kids vs. Latino kids, you better believe the Dems would be all over this thing. Actually, I can't believe that NBC reported this.

The truth is, to cut into the Latino vote or even the black vote all that’s needed is for Paul Ryan to keep saying the things he’s been saying, His positive outlook on the future of America, his belief in individuality.

Seriously, why can't we do both?

Well, I certainly love Paul Ryan, but will that work? Let me give an example: Pat Caddell, about the only Democrat I have any respect for, said last night on Hannity that the problem is people don’t believe Obama and the Dems want to cut any government programs; especially Medicare. Others are saying the same thing even though Obama stole over $700 Million from Medicare to finance ObamaCare. People have been brainwashed for decades to believe that the Dems want to save programs like Medicare, Medicaid and Entitlement programs and the Pubbies want to cut them. It’s hard to change that mind-set.

We can do both. It’s a good idea.

Not so. According to the July BLS statistics, "Among the major worker groups, the unemployment rate for Hispanics (10.3 percent) edged down in July, while the rates for adult men (7.7 percent), adult women (7.5 percent), teenagers (23.8 percent), whites (7.4 percent), and blacks (14.1 percent) showed little or no change. The jobless rate for Asians was 6.2 percent in July (not seasonally adjusted), little changed from a year earlier.

Black unemployment rates have historically always been higher than any other group, including Hispanics.

It’s hard to change that mind-set.

But not impossible. If it were all that difficult, Rush should retire now and enjoy life.

I think pulling a mass demographic from one locus to another is a complex matter that would take more than a single incident (unless that incident is truly spectacular, which this isnt especially considering the soundbites the Libs could come with showing GOP 'anti-hispanic' stands). The way I would delve into the issue is more of a pull-push approach. Something to push the target demographic away from X, BUT also something to pull them to Y. Yes, you may say X is not good for you, but why should they opt for Y?

Look at the voting black community above age 35. On paper they are conservative in some key social areas. Go to above 45 and it gets stronger. Even certain black churches told Obama to take his gay agenda and shove it. The push against X is already there, but there is no pull for Y. Without both a pull and a push there will be no mass change - be it for blacks to the GOP, hispanics to the GOP, or the Salvation Army to Daoism.

A good way of looking at how it is possible to effect mass change through push-pull is to look at how fo decades up to the 1960s Blacks were strongly Republican, and how the shift to Democrat occured. Thus it is definitely possible, but it will take more for Hispanics to shift strongly right than one incidence of black racism against hispanic kids, especially when all the media needs to do is play slanted and twisted clips showing excerpted soundbytes of GOP representatives saying things meant to 'prove' the GOP is anti Hispanic.

Well, Ted Cruz, former Solicitor General to the Supreme Court, who is Latino and just won the GOP nomination for the U.S. Senate from Texas, was on O’Reilly last night. He said the highest Unemployment rate in the nation was in the Latino Community. Just quoting him. He could be wrong.

As a latino father and civil rights fighter for fathers rights and pro family. It's now the time to address the issue of missing fathers in the inner-cities. There are reports of @ 70-80% in some inner-cities of fathers missing from there children's lives. I been doing my best, and many other to shine the light on this cancer that had been destroying the families and fathers. I speak for the good fathers, and I feel strongly that Paul Ryan can help us all.
LBJ and the dem’s welfare state had made us slaves and destroyed us on so many levels. I also served my country as a soldier to protect her like many of us did, many never made it home...Then to come home, and be destroyed at home.
Alot of fathers want to be part of there children's lives in person, but we have a beast of a system(s) run by (mostly) radical feminists that hate us (males) working at these places.
The laws are many against us...
We ask Romney/Ryan camp to address this, and investigate this and work with us to find a solution to this.
The inner-cities are out of control, and its time now to help the good fathers be fathers again. This is God plans for one.
Please, don't believe what the other side of darkness say about how evil we are, and we need to be punished to the max.
By helping us, reword that...Just shine the light and put out some ads asking why is this happaning .
The father rights groups are standing by you, and are ready to serve our country again to save her, and our families.
I pray this make sense ?
vet out

He is wrong. I gave you the official statistics. And these are the U-3 rates not the U-6 rates, which are even higher.

The reason that Hispanics vote Dem is clearly because it is in their interests to do so. They have 50% out of wedlock birthrates (topped only by the black rate of 71%) and the highest school dropout rates--over 50%. This is the social pathology for failure in our society and greater dependence upon government. Hispanics are joining blacks as part of the permanent underclass. They will continue to vote overwhelmingly for the Dems. And by 2050 one in three residents of this country will be Hispanic, thanks to our immigration policies.

It’s hard to change that mind-set.

What you say is absolutely 100% true. The only way to change the mind-sets is to cram examples of the way Dems truly are in to the faces of the brain washed.

We'll never reach the kool-aid drinking true believers. We may awaken enough of the rest to turn the table s, though.

Black vs. Latino is the fault line along which the Democrat Party will tear apart.

Dems have been telling both that they are “our #1 favored minority group” for over two decades. Well, they can’t both be #1. And as they grow in strength and numbers Latinos won’t stand for the back seat much longer. And blacks won’t react well to being kicked to the curb.

Many years ago, my cousins who lived in San Antonio told me that the blacks they knew, did not “get” the Mexicans. They weren’t white but they weren’t back, either. Some of the Mexicans also did “get” the blacks, whom they thought of as just Anglos with dark skin. Only the jazz scene brought the two together. The Zootsuit types could be any color.

Yep. There it is. Republicans would do better focus their efforts on increasing voter participation by White middle class working people ( only 66% of those eligible voted in 2008) and making sure that military absentee ballots are sent out on time and counted when they come in.

I also think that due to obama's executive order there will be massive voter fraud this Nov. I think that was the plan all along. Get a driver's lisence, register to vote.
