President Barack Obama has slightly more than 22 days to drop Vice Presidential Joe Biden from the 2012 Democratic presidential ticket, according to lawyers familiar with the party nominating process. That is, Democrats have until September 6 to formally nominate their presidential ticket which will then be qualified for the 50 state ballots

I don’t see how it hurts her if they win reelection. She would then run in 2016 (presumably she’s going to run then regardless) as the incumbent VP and “heiress apparent”. It hurts her if they lose but not if they win IMO.
I was listening to John Gambling on the radio this morning and he was talking to a newspaper columnist who was talking about how Joe Biden has had two aneurisms and he thinks it has affected his brain. He was also saying Biden should step down (I think the columnist was Michael Goodwin, but I’m not sure).
Seems like the stage is being set.

My theory at the time was the reason Obama picked Biden was the Russian invasion of Georgia—he suddenly thought he needed someone with some foreign policy credentials on the ticket. (Of course Biden had a history of being wrong on foreign policy pretty much all of the time, but that’s not how it appeared to Democrats.) So it was Putin’s fault.

Biden sets himself up to take a beating from Ryan in the debate, then fakes a stroke on-stage. Instant sympathy and the ability to blame a callous and meanspirated Ryan while also allowing replacement on the ticket.
I drop Joe Biden every morning. But Barry can’t. Really, he can’t. I mean, technically, legally, he could. But as a practical political and personal matter, he can’t.
Hillary is nothing if not a political animal. If the Democrats want her to run, she'll run.

I think all Romeny has to do is to show up at the debates and convention and not drool on himself and he will be elected President.
