Mitt Romney finally caught up with the rest of us via a fiery speech in Ohio on Tuesday where he proclaimed three simple truths that frame Barack Obama: "Intellectually exhausted, out of ideas, and out of energy."
Those lines are still too charitable; Obama has been intellectually barren from the beginning. Yet it is irrefutable -- to steal an apt word from Paul Ryan describing Obama's raiding Medicare to finance ObamaCare -- that Obama's idea inventory consists of the expired date-stamped perishables of the collectivist state -- tax, confiscate, redistribute, and impoverish.

Paul Ryan represents everything that Obama and the Democrats will never be: intellectually fertile, economically and historically literate, unimpeachably rigorous and honest. And these are only Paul Ryan's character virtues. His ideas and convictions are even better. And he's the most likeable politician in town.
Clarity is a rarely used tonic. The word itself has yet to be overexposed and deliberately obfuscated, unlike the word transparent. Of course, the phrase "let me be perfectly clear" is usually a prelude to anything but -- it was first attributed to Richard Nixon, then expropriated by Bill Clinton, and now it is a common preamble to Barack Obama's frequent deceptions. Yet clarity is a refreshingly bracing noun in an age where deliberate distortions, bald-faced lies, shameless plagiarism, and muddled thinking have become the new normal.

He has been out of it for 50 years.
Indeed, he’s a Marxist, but he also hates America, and specifically “white culture” in America.
I think the biggest demoralizer for him was the turnout at CFA.
The guy never had any new ideas to begin with. Everything he said, everything he believes in (at least what he stated) is nothing more than 70s liberal ideology mixed with a dose of Afrocentrism/Ebonics. That's it.
He's a Jimmy Carter that walks with a pimp limp, jogging on stage and looking cool.
It didn't take much for Obama to become intellectually exhausted, as he really is an idiotic ideologue.

His entire supply of ideas came out of a book published by Saul Alinsky in 1971

Barry’s exhausted? Must be from all his hard work this term, we’ll have to make sure he schedules a few more vacations in once we re-elect him for a second term. Seems only fair for a president who has worked himself too hard trying to solve our problems for us, no?
Biden sez "I don't know Mr. President...I think that's the only idea we've been able to come up with."
"Marxism only killed a couple of (hundred million) people in the nineteenth century, it's our plan to continue this great program in the twentieth century, after we are reelected. Who says we don't have new ideas?"

This shows the great philosophical divide between Democrats and Republicans, and why Democrats so consistently fail.
A simple question: When you are elected to a political office, is your purpose to manage that office efficiently, or to change every element of it?
Leftists and idealists cannot get it through their head that the purpose of a job is to do that job, not to change it, create a new job, or destroy the old one.
A good analogy would be if a someone was hired to be a french fry cook at a hamburger joint. A Republican would cook the french fries, and they would always be fresh, salted and ready to serve to customers. But a Democrat would try to do everything *but* cook french fries.
He would interfere with the guy cooking hamburgers. He would harass the cashiers. He would try to unionize the workers. He would complain to the Health Department that the floors were greasy. And when chastised for doing these things, he would feel bitter burning hate and resentment at the manager who wanted him to fry french fries.
And most of all, he would never, ever, fry french fries, because that was “boring”. He would try to break the machine, foul the cooking oil, pull the plug on the refrigerator to spoil the food, and blame everyone else for doing these things. And he would constantly nag his boss to give him a raise and a promotion.
He needs to add “AND intellectually dishonest”.
Drugs will do that to you.

America is an idea. 0bama’s been out of that ‘idea’ since well before he took office (illegally).
