I read this column in the Hays Daily (which only publishes 6 days a week). The author is the area boss of a bunch of KS papers, which goes a long way toward explaining their leftist slant in a conservative state. The issue he's bawling about is the recent primary election here, where a bunch of RINOS were tossed out. The RATS in KS have had a long-term plan to infiltrate and wreck the Republican party, since RATS can't get elected here. It worked for a while, but they just suffered a significant setback, hence the tears.
