Indeed, these are political welfare agency of the war on poverty by LBJ.

It’s been unconstitutional, but, hey, what do we know.

SINCE WHEN???

Here's a 2007 list of all the Federal Agencies that have people taking firearms training:

2007 Federal Law Enforcment Basic Training Requirements

Note this is from 2007, BEFORE the Obama Administration, and most of these agencies have had armed agents for decades.

I honestly don't think there's an agency that is newly-armed in this administration.

I built a silicon IR sensor that when compared to their reference standard had greater than 100% quantum efficiency.

A major highlight of my career!

They need the bullets because there will soon be 3 social security recipients for every worker paying the payroll tax.

'The public' is liable to do almost anything. Sometimes they don't because there is a well armed guard team surrounding the possible target.

A classic is where you provide the first load of stamp stock and money order blanks to a brand new postal facility ~ particularly one that supplies stock to a number of branches.

On stamp stock day a truck or two shows up along with several well armed Postal Inspectors ~ and you don't need to know what they have.

Then there are these fine gentlemen in blue police uniforms, and they seem to all be 7 ft or taller, weigh 300 lbs, have bullet proof vests on top of that AND they are carrying the world's largest shotguns!

They are show stoppers. Been decades since anyone tried robbing them.

My first time seeing this event had me looking around for cover, and there was no cover.

So far, exactly zero.

Should I try using it here in Silicon Valley?

The federal government is growing its police force, using every agency it can.

The last survey of Federal Law Enforcement was in 2008; the number of armed agents did increase 14% from 2004-2008.

Federal Law Enforcement Officers, 2008

So the fastest growing number of armed officers in a Federal LE Agency was the Pentagon Force Protection Agency, which seems to have pretty important things to do and seems unlikely to lead Obama's fantasy Martial Law imposition.

The SECOND fastest growing number of armed officers was Customs and Border Protection.

So I sort of thought more people on FR wanted more armed border patrol.

The problem is I keep getting confused on what days of the week Free Republic hates law enforcent and wants less of it, and what days of the week Free Republic loves law enforcement and wants more of it. Is there a schedule posted somewhere?

Exactly. Somebody please tell this taxpayer they aren’t doing all their practice with the most expensive round they can lay their hands on. 174,000 bonded JHP rounds? Why? Maybe they really are planning on getting into that many gunfights with cheatin’ grannies?

How many rounds of ammunition does Obama’s Sheriff of Nottingham, Timmy Gee really need?

Most tax cheats, like Timmy Gee, who are caught just peacefully write a check.

Is Social Security also going Fast and Furious?

” - - - Barack Hussein Obama II fails e-verify. The social security number he used on his latest tax returns is from Connecticut, where neither he nor his presumed parents ever lived.”

This quote screams for a weekly thread! [Just change the title slightly every week.]

Well, I’m sure that a SWAT team is next on their list ... NOAA has one, Dept. of Education has one, damned if SS isn’t going to be the only one without!

There are about 3500 rounds of mixed caliber JHPs at my place ... the majority being .40 S&W. I’m ready.

Nothing to see here. Along with Obamacare, just another simple solution to your “healthcare problem” by a quicker termination policy of sick seniors.

You know, the kind that supposedly hate Ryan and vote for liberals.

Just like there were Jews that helped the Nazis.

They shouldn’t have 295 special agents with law enforcement authority. Period.
