The interview with the "mother" is incredible. She seems to have no limits on her ability and willingness to rationalize.

"I think as an adult we have some type of ownership to being responsible for our vehicles,"

She does, however, have serious limitations on her ability to construct meaningful sentences.

No, the sad fact is that it is NOT incredible. We’ve have them justifying everything from robbery to assault. “My son didn’t to deserve to be shot for robbing that store” is pretty common in a certain socio-economic and ethnic group.

The sad part is, they won’t drag the mother in as an accessory.

Inability to speak coherently is often a sign of an inability to think coherently.

Trying to extract meaning from her words is a painful exercise.
