A first-of-its-kind state law that would restrict parents from trying to "cure" their minor children's same-sex attractions seems headed to the governor's desk.

Or move to another state where such efforts to reform a child are legal.

I guess California doesn’t have any real problems that the legislature needs to address.

Others might choose that option, but I wouldn't.

I refuse to let the socialist scum who have infested this state over the past 40 years drive me out.

I was here first.

There are many of us out here in California doing the best we can to overcome the radical Leftist crap that’s been bestowed upon our Golden State by the immigration of Leftist anus orifices from all over the East Coast of this Nation since WWII.

Looks like we're on our own.

When it does and the refugees flood us, are we going to be stupid enough to let them in?

Each state/nation should be responsible to take back only the leftwing nutbars they sent CA in the first place.

That sounds fair to me.

Let’s face it. These laws are intended to appease their base, but the more important and intended effect is to rid the state of any last vestage of conservative opposition.
Although, in the past, the maxim that CA will lead the nation was true; in the future it will be otherwise. In the past, CA lead the way with innovation based on free markets and minimal interference in people’s daily lives. This is definitely not the case today. Of course, the rich will still have their lifestyle, but the rest of the state will be Argentina. CA will serve as an eduring testament to the failure of Leftist policies.

These laws are intended to appease their base,...

Gays are 1.7% of the population. That's not enough to be anyone's base!

Statutory reap will become legal.

More like mandatory. And if the parents don’t like it, they’ll lose their kids to a gay “couple”.

We should have mandatory abortions based on pre-birth genetic tests for the likelihood of homosexuality

Except that there's no convincing scientific evidence that male homosexuality is genetic, and for female homosexuality, there's a great deal of evidence that it's not.

Although gays comprise a small percentage of the population, gays make more money per capita, hold influential jobs (Hollywood, Silicon valley) and strongly vote Dem. But more importantly, doctrinaire Leftists consider ‘gay rights’ tantamount to the civil rights movement of the 60s, and they are willing to take a ‘principled’ stand on this issue. The Latinos and Black groups are firmly planted on the Dem plantation and will follow directives by their elite, gay-sympathizing betters. Becoming a Republican for CA Latinos and Blacks is a fate worse than death.

They ran right off the plantation to vote against gay marriage.

I disagree that this is about Latino or Black politicians on “the plantation.” Plenty of them sincerely agree with the gay civil rights agenda. For those minority Democrats who don’t personally like that agenda, going along is a small price to pay; more than repaid by monied white liberals providing lock-step support for affirmative action, tax increases to cover high government spending, and the illegal alien welcome mat.

This give homos and lesbos the power over parents when they groom, manipulate and set upon a weak (innocent) Christian child for use in their “community.”

Apparently the state’s out of debt and open for business, the government’s not dysfunctional any more, they’re taking care of all the more important problems, and they now have the time and money to mess around with this. Right? Did I miss that?

No, I’m guessing I didn’t. I’m guessing it didn’t happen, and the Democrat majority in the lege is giving goodies to a major constituency rather than taking care of serious business. My apologies to Californians of the other persuasion, but conversion therapy would not be a major problem in California even in better times, and isn’t even a minor problem given that we’re the Lindsay Lohan of states right now. Legal forays like this are why in 2005, I wanted the levees rebuilt in New Orleans and dynamited in Sacramento.

Blacks and Latinos will still vote for Dems no matter what in CA. Even if the Dems put gay marriage on their platform, the Dems have them on their plantation. A referendum means little in CA with Leftist Dem judges anyways.

And THAT is the God's honest truth, right there.

I wonder if any of these legislatures had a son raped by a homosexual, if they would then be so in favor of this policy?

CA is lost. I don’t know how long God will withhold His judgment from that state. I can’t believe the whackos who run it and the people who vote for them. Its too much to fathom.
