Think of it this way: we know there's a relationship between female orgasm and conception. The mechanism for this isn't entirely understood, but it's really not a controversial idea. We can think of rape, therefore, as the opposite of this. There's nothing about pain, stress, trauma and physical rejection that's conducive to insemination the way relaxed, consensual sex is.
So when a doctor tells a woman who is trying to get pregnant and has no underlying medical issues to relax and reduce her stress and the pregnancy will happen, he's wrong? So stress has no impact on the ability of a woman's body to conceive?
