I'm on the thread because of the reason I gave when I made my comment: This absurdity is the next media-fuelled distraction designed to draw attention away from the 2012 campaign issues, none of which are going in Obama's favor.

Otherwise, MSNBC and NY Times wouldn't be leading with this 'Augusta allows women' story on their 'breaking news' RSS feeds.

A golf course's policy on allowing female memberships is not breaking news anywhere, except to those who seek to force this to become an Obama-lifting story on misogyny at the height of campaign season. I'm going to petition to have this thread stricken from FR's 'Breaking News' list, in fact.

In my opinion there is a lot more to it than that but if you can’t see it then I am not going to make an effort to explain it as that would be a waste of my time and it won’t change anything anyway.
