You may pay more than ever for a late-summer drive.
U.S. drivers paid an average of $3.72 per gallon on Monday. That's the highest price ever on this date, according to auto club AAA, a shade above the $3.717 average on Aug. 20, 2008. A year ago, the average was $3.578.

Gas prices can’t be all that bad or the media would be utterly freaking out like they were at this time in 2008... right?
Here in Springfield, IL the annual State Fair price-gouging just occurred. Every year, the week before the fair starts, prices go astronomical and the week after they return to more of a nationwide norm. Monday before Fair week, prices hit $4.00 per gallon. Today (fair ended last night), back to $3.69. Although everyone knows they’re lying, local distributors trot out a reason for the annual fleecing. This year? Refinery problems in Illinois and Indiana. Unfortunately, they neglected to ask refinery workers to back them up. No workers were aware of any problems that might affect supply or delivery.
I’m all for capitalism. Just be honest about it and go on. Don’t make up lies that everyone knows is a lie and that everyone expects the same time each year.
LOL, if there was a Republican as president, you’d have wall-to-wall stories on the news about him/her conspiring with the evil oil companies to rip off the common man...and “WHAT ABOUT THE CHILDREN????”

It’s very discouraging to see the American public wait for the media to tell them what they should be upset about.
I pray gas spikes, $8 /gallon? The higher the better. To a level that Obama and the media machine can’t spin away from the slumbering public’s notice.
In midstate PA it was $1.49 in January ‘09 when the Kenyan took the oath of office.
Thanks to inflation, this is the highest price ever paid for gasoline.
There is far more diving during during the school year than the summer.
When school starts next week let me know what you think?
Refineries are gearing up for home heating fuel, producing less gasoline & diesel.
Drill here...drill now!....FUBO!!!
