(Reuters) - U.S. forces could move against Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad, President Barack Obama warned, notably if he deploys his chemical weapons against rebels trying to overthrow him.
In some of his strongest language yet on Syria, on a day when U.N. observers pulled out after a fruitless bid for peace and Assad's forces mounted new attacks, the U.S. leader said Assad faced "enormous consequences" if he crossed a "red line" of even moving unconventional weapons in a threatening manner.
Seeking re-election in November, Obama noted that he had refrained "at this point" from ordering U.S. military engagement in Syria. But when he was asked at a White House news conference whether he might deploy forces, for example to secure Syrian chemical and biological weapons, he said his view could change.
"We have been very clear to the Assad regime, but also to other players on the ground, that a red line for us is we start seeing a whole bunch of chemical weapons moving around or being utilized," Obama said. "That would change my calculus."

A third option leaves Assad in power: Move chemical weapons to the Israeli border and threaten Israel. If convincing, zer0 will find some back-hand way to help Assad, as it would change the "calculus".

Syria, no doubt. It complicates the Israeli position and it supports the Sunni Muslims. And he has already tipped his hand as to how we will get involved. Using his superb intellect, Obama solved numerous difficult calculus equations, and determined the red line was Assad using chemical WMD on the rebels. So, Obama will supply the Rebels with chemical WMD and have them fire it at civilians. Then Obama and his sycophant press will blame the attack on Assad. They have already done similar false blame games numerous times. And there are reports that Chemical WMD from Libya has already gotten into terrorist ... ooops... I mean rebel hands.
Talk tough and look Presidential for the cameras, while in reality doing nothing. Rattle the saber, maybe blow up a ten-dollar tent or two. No real damage, and the Muzzies know it.After November 7, it's back to normal.
