The Deniers (State of California propaganda)
State of California Governor's Office of Planning & Research ^ | 2011

Posted on 08/20/2012 9:44:25 PM PDT by AmonAmarth

If the experts agree on the existence and causes of climate change, why do some public opinion polls find that only about half or less than half of the American public is convinced that emissions from human activities bear responsibility?

A small but vocal group has aggressively spread misinformation about the science, aiming to cast doubt on well-established findings and conclusions. Their goal is to create confusion and uncertainty, thereby preventing meaningful action to remedy the problem. The same strategy was used cynically for decades by the tobacco industry after research showed that cigarettes caused cancer. In fact, some of the same individuals who have spoken out against climate science also claimed that cigarettes were safe. The term “denialism”3 has been coined to describe them.

Views of When Global Warming Effects Will Begin. Source: Gallup. Many of the deniers share some traits:

•Many have little or no expertise in climate science. While some have some science background, their training often is unrelated to climate science and they have not published “peer-reviewed” scientific work in climate or atmospheric science.

•Many receive funding for their efforts from industries with a financial interest in ignoring climate change. Oil companies, coal-burning electric utilities, and other companies that make their profits from burning fossil fuels have funded denier organizations and scientists, just as tobacco companies funded people who claimed that second-hand smoke was safe.

(have not published “peer-reviewed” scientific work in climate or atmospheric science.)

Of course, no mention of the Mann emails that showed a conspiracy to keep out any “denier” study from appearing in the “scientific” journals.

Without reading beyond the excerpt this sounds to be a rather alinskyite skreed. Not a single argument over the facts of the science - everything is about the opponent instead.

Liberal propaganda involves, for all intents and purposes, the abuse of the power of suggestion. I put it that way because abuse is what it amounts to.

The first unsupported assertion in this article is that "experts agree on the existence and causes of climate change."

Most if not all of the population agree that climate change exists, and has existed for millions of years.

The scientific argument that today's climate change is caused by mankind is far from supported. That claim belies the science that climate change is caused by the Sun, not mankind.

Wishful think and greed are behind the claim that mankind is the cause of climate change. Politicians are counting their money with Cap and Trade and other idiotic claims to justify wrecking the economy with nonsense.

BEN: Destroyed...by Jerry Brown, the commie Sacramento legislature and Mary Nichols at CARB!

It was a Republican that signed AB 32, the sleaze who put JFK Jr., Mary Nichols, and the NRDC in charge of drafting his environmental plan. Your failure to include Arnold on that list of causes degrades your post from principle to advocacy. Please repent.

“...today’s climate change...”

Forget “climate change”. All we have are records for ever-changing weather patterns and their various trends.

I don’t believe you can predict overall climate change by analyzing relatively short term weather patterns and trends. We’d need another thousand or so years of precise and accurate record-keeping to be able to do that.

What all this proves is there really aren’t any experts!

Just a bunch of wannabes!

The real deniers in California are the ones who refuse to admit that you can’t continually spend more than you take in. They deny that any significant changes are necessary to solve the problem.

We got no money, no jobs, and no future. We are on the verge of bankruptcy as many more cities default and the state can’t sell its bonds. You suck, Jerry Brown. Let a better man do the job. Get out.

Nobody said it better, Nachum----well, maybe Judge Judy?

LATINO JUST HERE FOR A BETTER LIFE SCAM Seems this tax-sucking latino worked for Cali's San Bernardino County Dept of Corrections. Told JJ he worked 9 mos and got 3 mos time off to be with his "children"---one of whom was college age.

JJ asked him how he supported himself those 3 mos----he said he collected UI. Seems for nine years the Dept of Corrections calculately "laid him off" and rehired him 3 mos later.

NOTE falsifying govt documents to get UI tax dollars is AKA government fraud.

Now when he was "laid off" to be with his "children," he was traveling to be with his girlfriend---she was suing him for a $4000 loan---which was why they were in JJ's court.

JJ was incensed---is going to send videotape to Congress to show that cases like this are the reason the economy is in the ditch.

They don't even bother to pretend anymore:
California poised to grant driver's licenses to young illegal immigrants - SacBee, by Jim Sanders, 2012 August 22

So now the illegal aliens aka "undocumented workers" (as liberals like to call them, despite the absurdity and the irony of the expression) will be neither "illegal" nor "undocumented." And the DoJ is not going to do anything about that, let alone sue the state, the way they do with Arizona and other states.

Apparently in California and other liberal states, as Al Gore once said, "what was up is down, and what was down is up."

'Deniers'?
Then I assume everyone at Time Magazine will be arrested and reeducated until they 'confess'.

ps: Note to Kalifornia. It isn't 'science' if the experiment can't be repeated by another using the same data. Or if some data is disregarded because it doesn't fit in with your preconceived (desired) conclusion/result.
