You can do whatever you want in your bedroom.

Dignity and respect? we treat all people with dignity and respect.

Sorry I don’t think two men should be allowed to adopt a baby.
it’s not what you and I would want for our kid if we gave it up?

that’s romney’s position.

I’m beginning to have a problem with tolerance too.

The GOP is trying to tell us that we now have to accept teir sexual turn ons and their agenda.

This is precisely the problem I have with this sort of language. How does the platform committee define "dignity and respect," and what stops them from expanding this to include support for same-sex so-called marriage and adoption of children to same-sex couples?

Great, here goes my head exploding again. Why are perverts, or any group, for that matter, being singled out by Republicans?

There is NO “dignity and respect” in the act of two men messing with each other’s anal area, nor two women abusing one another with plastic toys. It is SICK PERVERSION.

I agree. Why should I tolerate perversion? It has been an illegal act in almost every society for thousands of years. And suddenly I need to “tolerate” it, and “affirm” it? Hell no!

I have no “respect” for the “dignity” of those who stuff their penises into the butts of men, or want another man to do that to them.

agreed, the GOP seems to think that appeasing a few homosexuals will suddenly bring them votes but then they ignore the marority of us and yet again we are taken for granted.

It’s like some churches which have been infiltrated by some homosexuals.
We stopped going to the Church of England once they accepted the homosexual woman and then said lets marry these same sex people

Exactly. You don’t hear the GOP calling for respect for the blind, the deaf, the autistic - why this group? Well , we both know its because the Democrats have made this an issue with the gay marriage plank in the DNC this year. Instead of taking the high road and being different and opposed, the GOP wants to say, “On this issue , we are not so far from the Dems.”

My wife's cousin was ordained as an Episcopal priestess last year. She's the most pro-homosexual person I've ever met. Until she married, I was certain she was one herself.

Let's hope the GOP isn't being infiltrated by the same influences that are currently destroying the Anglican communion. But I won't hold my breath - Romney inspires little hope in folks like me, for whom social conservativism is far more important than fiscal or foreign-policy conservatism.

Or, they could've said absolutely nothing, apart from reiterating support for traditional marriage. I see no reason why they should feel the need to address every single point in the Democratic Party platform, allowing them to define the boundaries of the GOP agena.

that’s what these people do, find groups churches etc and the infiltrate them.
Now I’d never have thought that but then you see them wanting the boy scouts, the military the church and we only have to look at Fluke who only joined the school because she wanted to change teir health care not that she wanted their education.

This is why liberalism is more like a religion, they feel their life has to be devoted in pushing their agenda and they will never ever be happy and they will always push and complain, something I might add which the GOP and talk radio for the most part seem unable to grasp

Can anyone help answer for me?

Who are these nameless people who are drafting the preliminary language for the Republican Platform?

Establishment RINO’s perhaps?

Are they soliciting input from their voters, or just promoting their own agenda?

What is the process for writing and approving the platform?

Thank you.

No, this has to stop and the only way is for our side to get some balls and YES IT INCLUDES TALK RADIO, HANNITY ETC and speak up against this agenda.

I feel your pain. But, after listening to Rush, Hannity and most of the rest of them ignore the issue for years, why would you expect them to change? Rush and Hannity could have stopped DADT and were either too intimidate or unprincipled to do so.

And, things, I guarantee you, will get worse if Romney is elected. Romney has always been a strong advocate for the homosexual agenda. Once Romney is done, the Republican party will be endorsing gay marriage if a Romney-appointed judge on SCOTUS doesn't cast the deciding vote to force it all on 50 states. That is what Romney and the Republican establishment want. And, it is all happening with the votes of social conservatives and Christians, including JimRob!

Why would the Republicans do anything on the issue if they know social conservatives are going to vote for someone with the radically liberal record of Mitt Romney?

The only question if we keep going down this path is how much religious freedom, freedom of speech and parental rights will be lost.

There is no hope on the issue until social conservatives stop engaging in the lesser-of-two-evil strategies and only for conservatives. But, if JimRob won't even do that, I have lost all hope of conservatives ever having the the sense or principle to do so.

If Romney is elected, the Republican party will either endorse gay marriage in its platform or a Republican and/or Romney-appointed judges will force it on the nation.

The issue is lost as well as any chance of overturning Roe in most of our lifetimes if Romney gets the chance to replace Scalia and Kennedy.

When the Republicans start accepting same sex marriage I will be an Independent the next day

The Republican nominee is the father of gay marriage...Are you going to vote for him?

Why should I “tolerate” people who are trying to introduce and mainstream anal sex into our society.

There is coming a day when you're going to be forced to tolerate it or break the law.

It's going to be the Republican party's position, too, if Romney is elected. The Republican party will openly endorse the homosexual agenda if that happens.
