Ever since Trayvon Martin was shot and killed by George Zimmerman on that faithful night, America has been on their toes about the stereotypes that have been put under a spotlight.
There are all types of statistics that are supposed to show that young black men have to be more careful with how they act, and it gets harder when those stereotypes only worsen from it.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, young black men are more fearful of their futures ever since the incident with Trayvon Martin.
A 19-year-old boy named Jaboris Haynes spoke with the Sentinel and revealed:
"Sometimes it hurts. When I was younger, I thought of being a different race and wondered what it would be like. The message I got about being a young black man wasn't a good message. I always felt like somebody was after me, like they were judging me, just because I'm a black male."

I got another idea! Stop giving your children stupid ‘made-up’ names: a hiring manager will give a much fairer shake to John, Tom, or Kathy then Dante, Trayvon, or Lateesha.
Don’t become a drug dealer, as was Trayvon, and risk losing your life.
Yeah, but... how are ya s’post to give a beatdown for a dissin’ when someone be armed?

Foolproof ways to not end up like Trayvon:
Don’t idolise the “gangsta” lifestyle.
Don’t portray yourself as a gangbanger wannabe on social media.
Don’t snoop around neighbourhoods looking in windows.
Don’t physically assault neighbourhood watch personnel who are just doing their job.
Names are part of the culture, and, like I said, a lot fewer would be dying if they integrated with the mainstream American culture (including naming conventions).
Good maybe fewer of them will brutally attack people smaller than them. The way to not end up like Trayvon is to not act like he did.
Didn’t they make a documentary a few years back on this theme? “Scared Straight” I think it was called...
The biggest threat to young urban black men are young urban black men.

On my cellphone, I read the headline as, “Many Young Black Men Are Afraid They Will End Up as Taxpayers.”
