Mark Levin goes nuclear, says Todd Akin chose himself over the country (Audio)
The Right Scoop ^ | 08/21/2012 | Staff

Mark Levin is clearly not happy with Akin’s decision, saying that he put himself over that of the country at a time when we are trying to win the Senate with the country at stake. And how we have to try and win the Senate with a weaker, wounded candidate who did it to himself.

But at the end of the day Levin says we still have to fight to beat McCaskill and if it’s with Akin, then so be it – we must support him.

" maybe supporting this guy isn’t such a good idea.”"

Too late now. He's no more unhinged than many GOPe-ers in the Senate.

LOL, Sarah Palin got fired up, “NO, He should GET OUT, he should have done that TODAY!”

A huge AMEN to that, Sarah!!

You certainly seem wise on this issue.

If we are to take back the country is this not a good place to start (though clearly on the margins), Akin is not a perfect Senate candidate, but where does he fit in the hierarchy of sensible current Senators? Easily in the top 50 I'd suggest.

shucks, if a libertarian could win, i would vote for him in a heartbeat.

but maher, the skank, tried to push himself off as a libertarian, and exposed himself as a fascist/marxist/socialist pos.

i would rather that all would be true libertarians.

blessings, bobo

"I've heard lots of Akin audio over the past couple of days - the guy sounds like an absolute out-of-touch loon."

How is that different from McConnell?

The Dems are dancing with glee over this circus. I have seen photos of Ryan interposed next to Akin on Facebook, tying them together.

"I swear I will fly/drive to Missouri and join the mobs that will be after Akin with torches and pitchforks."

Better to go after Roberts.

PS,

Romney will fix the economy. I’ll do way better financially than under Zero. And I’m sorry, I worked, (and still do), too hard for what I do have to risk it like that. I guess its because I’m more libertarian on your precious social issues maybe I can see the potential for a disaster, and that needs avoided at all costs. Yes, ALL costs. See, I kinda follow the “Its All About the Benjamins” school of thought. (Then again, I like Ayn Rand....my only disagreement with her is her atheism.)

First and foremost I happen to be very much a FISCAL and DEFENSE conservative. This election is strictly about THESE few major issues. Jobs, the economy, rebuilding our war-wearied and Zero-demoralized military back to nonpareil form. Finally we need a man who will allow the Keystone Pipeline to be built, will stop the war on coal, and appoints an AG who goes after Eric Holder et. al.

Getting the senate back is crucial. We don’t have the luxury of allowing votes to be split or seats to be lost.

Elect Romney to stop 0bama....elect a majority to both houses to stop Romney.

He wasn’t my first, or even fifth choice. But you better believe that come November 6th I’ll crawl over broken glass and rusty nails to vote for Mitt Romney.

Okay, we all know that Mark is one of the strongest conservative voices. He teaches us much about the Founders and the Constitution. His credentials are solid. I’m waiting to hear all those voices show up here and call him a sellout.

the real reason Akin is being pushed out is that he is unabashedly pro-life

Right...nobody could possibly be worried about defeating Senator McWhatshername and perhaps stopping the Obama socialist juggernaut in this country. Oh, no, of course not. Why would anyone worry about a little thing like that?

Dont be as obtuse as Akin.

It was insulting to women to imply that if they got pregnant as a result of rape, it wasnt ‘legitimate rape’. Ignorant and insensitive. This has nothing to do with abortion per se.

Akin is being pushed out because he is a surefire loser. The Pro-abort/PRobama/pro-mcccaskill position is to keep Akin in so he will lose and Dems win.

Prolife Palin now wants Steelman to run indie to go around Akin.

Bully for that.

Are you talking about Mitch McConnell? I don't know what he has to do with this discussion, but I'm definitely no fan of namby pamby Mitch McConnell either. He needs to step aside to make way for a stronger leader in the Senate, IMO.

I despise Roberts even more than Akin. If ObamaCare doesn't get repealed because of either of these guys... there's gonna be hell to pay...

So Levin finally came around to the right point of view at the end of the day ,,, Bravo (golf clap) ,, Akin is right in his assertion and the fact that Levin , Rush and Beck want this to be a single issue campaign (economy)... just isn’t going to happen ,, we need this discussion and we have the most radical baby killer in history to run against. Bring It On , we are on Gods side and we have the truth.

"This is the exact sort of ignorance that Akin was preaching. There’s no magic “chemical reaction”, if a woman is ovulating and she gets raped, if the rapist ejaculates inside her and the sperm reaches the egg, boom, you have pregnancy just as you would at any other time."

No, you have fertilization/conception. Pregnancy occurs upon implantation of the fertilized egg in the uterus wall. Usually several days after fertilization.

Right. Anyone who actually believes this should not be in the Senate or anywhere else in government. While I am 100% Pro-Live, Akin is a reminder that there are some ignorant people in the Pro-Life movement who give it a bad name. Pro Lifers should not be supporting this fool, they should be angry that he is playing right into the Dems hands with these incredibly stupid statements.
