I have seen no harsh criticism in the MAINSTREAM media regarding the kind of greed that preys upon urban youth.

None, but watch EBT allowances go up since there will be less money to buy food with since they are spending more on this crap.

"I wonder how many will be bought with a EBT card?"

That was my very first thought when I read the thread title.

I would buy a pair and a compact brush shredder and I would find a busy street with plenty of traffic and media, and I would shred those shoes. i absolutely hate a bad fad.

I was at Payless shoes last night and there was an option button to pay with EBT. I was like, “What?” Now I get it. At least the shoes there are reasonable.

It would be my guess that during the last twenty years, that more Negroes have been physically attacked during the commission of theft of “fashionable” sneakers than have been attacked by the remnants of the KKK.

The person w/ the EBT card rides with the person carrying cash to the store. Person w/ cash selects a hundred dollars worth of groceries, person with EBT card uses it to purchase the groceries, person w/ cash gives $100 in cash to person w/ EBT card.

Person w/ cash was going to spend that cash anyway, so person w/ EBT card now has $100 they can spend on smokes, booze, pills, etc. The only ones on the short end of the stick are the little kids who now have $100 less worth of food money that their idiot “parent” spent on nonsense.

I know people that do this sort of crap all the time, it infuriates me.

The gub’ment is buying poor folk cell phones via their “www.obamaphone.net” web site. Maybe they’ll do likewise with a new web site like “www.obamalebronshoes.net” for free LeBron shoes. After all, you can’t have a poor kid in the hood walking around with lesser shoes than his counterparts.

this roll out must be why Nike has implemented new rules for the stores that carry their shoes.

The store videos that will be available when these things go on sale will be precious.

They’re probably made in some cheap labor nation at a cost of around $15.00 per pair. A few years back I read that the high end sneakers had a production cost below $10.00, but there’s probably been some increase since.
