He let Lt. Col Lakin go to jail for 6 months and lose his military career because he, Obama, knew darn well that he HAS NO LEGALLY VALID DOCUMENTATION that he could have presented to Lakin, to prove that his orders were lawfully given in accordance with the 20th Amendment, the War Powers Act, and the Authorization to Use Force. IOW, Obama KNOWS that his orders are unlawful, and his giving them anyway is treason against the United States and the US Constitution.
His trashing of America, America’s interests, and America’s allies is all part of the plan.
