IIRC, the Republic of Korea (”South Korea”) has different school uniforms for different ages, becoming progressively more paramilitary as one progresses, for everyone. I believe Japan is the same way. They have almost no problems with their students, compared to our system.

I'd prefer school uniforms. With a uniform, students wouldn't be automatically stratified based on whose parents can afford the back-to-school hottest fashions.
Oh, I love this! I will have to go to the M-Den and get one for next Saturday so I can be dressed to the nines, while I enjoy watching Michigan beat the Sooners! :)
They can’t just ban the red and blue shirts, so hey ban them all. Got it. But carrying that down to 5 year olds? C’mon. I don’t think they’ve been initiated yet into any gangs.
