ST. ROBERT, Mo.Claire McCaskill began a sparsely attended campaign event here Thursday with this quip: "I don't know if you noticed, but my campaign has been really boring lately."
The ironic line was one of the few references the Democratic senator made to the political firestorm that erupted after her opponent, U.S. Rep. Todd Akin, used the term "legitimate rape" during a TV interview Sunday.
Rather than beat Mr. Akin over the head, Ms. McCaskill appears to have decided to let the wrecking ball he set in motion swing all by itself. And unlike the Republican establishment, which has called for Mr. Akin to step aside, Ms. McCaskill said she is in no hurry to see him go

No wonder your mind was so easily controlled.
McCaskill has this one in the bag. Her campaign can stand down and watch Akin fumble himself to a 30-point loss in November.
But Akin is convinced it`s all good because it`s God`s will.
This is particularly distressing because McCaskill was headed for a landslide defeat. Ah, well.

She will play him like a fiddle until it’s too late for him to drop out. Then she will smash the fiddle like Pete Townshend shashing his guitar at the end of a concert.
Her DeathCare vote should be stuck to her like glue. Death Panels for Missouri?
Call it ClairCare except that Deathcare is harder hitting.
47% of Missouri voters now have a "very unfavorable impression" of Akin.
