Selfish Akin bringing GOP down with him

If “all politics is local politics,” it must be said: This is a bad week to be a Missourian.

No, I don’t live in Missouri. But I’m a conservative and a pro-life advocate, so thanks to Rep. W. Todd Akin, I must necessarily worry about the U.S. Senate race in Missouri, a contest that should have been an easy win for my side.

Mr. Akin thrust himself into the Hall of Fame of 21st Century Political Stupidity, an incredible accomplishment in the age of Anthony “Weinergate” Weiner, then-South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford’s rendezvous with a lover in Argentina, and anything uttered by Vice President Joseph R. Biden.

By using the words “legitimate” and “rape” in a dependent clause, and by opining that pregnancy is less likely to occur under traumatic circumstances because “the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down,” Mr. Akin turned himself into a lightning rod of controversy...

marygonzo, Todd Akin is not a Marine. He never was. He served after college as an officer in the Army Reserve.

Maybe you should learn more about the man before you start blasting other freepers.

It's a pretty simple thing to visit his official website...

If Akin was really good for the pro-life and conservative movement the last thing the democrats would have done was to financially support his campaign. When pro-abortionists are giving money to the candidate that you support it’s RED FLAG time.

Hello, is that you, Mrs. Akin ? The word “Brilliant” should NEVER be used with the word Akin, just as “Legitimate” should never be found before “Rape”.

Thanks, Smooth...I had no idea what service Akin had been in and it really doesn't matter but it's easy to spot blowhards like this one.

Here is what happened: Akin spoke, the Republicans pissed their pants, and then ran out to the media to act like democrats. Not single ounce of courage was shown by the party, cowards all. Political correctness and the abject fear of conservatism runs throughout the GOP.

I believe that if the GOP gains firms control of the senate, it will not repeal Obamacare, but will simply try to modify it into a more “reasonable” program. Which of course means we will still be stuck with nationalized health care.

Address the point. Do you think marines want to kill babies because mommy wants to kill the baby?

The entertainment value is their only redemption. However, it is in fact entertaining, sometimes worth a full blown bwahahahaha, other times, not so much.

Overall, most of them get a 5 for effort.

Hush Bimbo is just being Hush Bimbo, just how often do you hear Bimbo fighting for social issues?

Quite often. I suppose this comment was to act like he doesn't, which of course would not be factual.

You also leave out Allen West, Tea Party Express, Mark Levin, etc.

Best of all, I’m a conservative who thinks for himself. Not a herd animal like most people.

You seem to be someone who applies an alternate reality to analyze situations and make juvenile remarks like "Hush Bimbo", Sean "Vannity", etc. rather than making any actual points based on fact.

You’re not a part of ‘our’ movement.

Your every post here is an attack on everything FR has stood for. this is totally the DC elite trying to remove a populist pro-life candidate, and that is why you are in the can with them.

You’re a total embarrassment.

Polititions do not elect candidates, voters do.

Akin got the most votes, that is why he is the candidate.

Get in contact with reality, and then shut up.

We need Akin to win, and he will if the idiots that are attacking him get out of the way (That is what bothers you, isn’t it!)

A populist pro-life candidate funded by pro-abortionists

You are right, I am NOT part of your movement. I want no part of a movement that is supported and funded by the pro-abortionists on the left.

You seem to be of the opinion that citing someone else justifies your opinion. I am of the opinion that I don’t really care what their opinions are and, therefore, I don’t see any actual points based on fact with you.

Do the ppl of Missouri want Akin, who listened to wrong info and said something they think is stupid or do they want to participate in voting for the dems who want to kill every single baby that isn't wanted at any time. And they will do that with the voter's permission. May God open their eyes to see the horror of it.

The pro-abortionist crowd funded him that why he's the candidate. It's not just a coincidence that he's set back the pro-life movement with his idiotic comments that are now haunting the conservative movement.

By the way, I'm still waiting for that list of NON-GOP Establishment, NON RINO candidates, who are not democrats who are in support of Akin.
