Now, everybody just hold on for a second. The Twitterverse and etcetera have been lighting up with speculations and accusations from all sides as to what Mitt Romney meant with this. No, birthers: I have the severest doubts that Mitt Romney was endorsing birtherism, nor that he plans to desperately take up the theory as part of his campaign platform as we wend our way to November. It’s far too divisive an issue, and as much as the Left would no doubt like everyone to believe, it’s not like the majority of the conservative base is exactly jiggy with it.

Hard to believe that this painting was done in 1975 and the artist, Arnold Friberg died recently in 2010. This painting is one of my all time favorites, although it's hard to ignore Washington's proportioning is off somehow, perhaps his head is too small.

No one spends over THREE MILLION DOLLARS on lawyers in order to HIDE their birth certificate along with ALL of OBAMA’s other personal records of history unless he has something SERIOUS to HIDE. George Washington was a man of great stature, he was 6 foot 3 inches.... a very tall man for his time.
The hands on that painting is from someone who modeled for him to do that painting.

I strongly disagree with those historians who say that it's just a fable that George Washington prayed at Valley Forge.
One of the witnesses who saw him praying was I think the father of the woman who whom George Washington payed rent for the house that he would use for 6 months from Dec 19 1777 to June 19 1778 at Valley Forge.

The family whom he rented the house ( known as George Washinton's headquarters ) was the Pots family who were Quakers in Pa.

If anyone doubts that George Washington was a man who prayed to God and a Christian, then they should actually take the time and actually read George Washington's personal papers, there are many examples of Washington praying to God ( the Christian God ).

I think ? the other painting I love from Arnold Friberg is George Washington riding on his horse on a showy day with his shoulders slump and George Washington looked dejected with the whole weight of the American cause on his shoulders.

I was watching a Revolutionary War documentary last night where some people witness at times coming into Washington's many offices during the war with George Washington with tears in his eyes.

He ( George Washington ) was a man more like you and me and that was what was so extra ordinary about the American cause and the Revolution is that ordinary people like you and me had a voice, and make a difference in forming a government and future for ourselves,,,,, in the history of man kind there was never a time that that was ever attempted or done....

The American Revolution was truly unique.
It took the power away from the ruling class, those born into royalty, and handed it over to THE PEOPLE.
