So, why do you need legislation or amendments?

How about every officer of government, in every branch, simply supporting the explicit requirements of the Supreme Law of the Land, as they have sworn to do?

Because we don't live in any kind of utopia. We've got 2 choices, wait around and hope they start doing that, or do something about it. A constitutional amendment should work. If a president can do things by executive order, I'm all for that too. I'd do all of the above.

I’m not looking for Utopia. I’m simply demanding that we be America.

Constitutional amendments in the case of the defense of innocent human life are not needed. What is needed is for those we elect to keep the first obligations of their sacred oath of office.

This platform is sucker bait, busy-work for conservatives in the formerly grand old party.

A complete sham designed to continue to fool people into resignation to the acceptance of the abortion on demand status quo.

I agree the platform doesn’t mean much if it’s not followed up with action, and we can be pretty sure Romney won’t. But think of what a constitutional amendment could do if driven by the grass roots from the bottom up. It would force even Democrat presidents to enforce protections for the unborn.

There are already two amendments to the U.S. Constitution that absolutely require the protection of every innocent person.

If they'll ignore those, they will ignore another.

"No person shall be deprived of life without due process of law."

"No State shall deprive any person of life without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

The GOP platform has recognized the personhood of the child in the womb, and their protection by the Fourteenth Amendment, for 28 years.

No plank has been any more consistently and thoroughly ignored.
