The Obama reelection campaign on Friday released an ad aimed at convincing conservative women to vote Democrat because, unlike former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, Obama won’t “ban contraception” or block access to abortion.
“If you’re a conservative woman, and you believe in small government, then Barack Obama is your candidate because he’s keeping the government out of the decisions that should remain between you and God, and you and your own conscience,“ says one of the many ”conservative” women featured in the video.
“If you truly believe in a small government. That government shouldn’t be deciding what I can and cannot do with my own body,” says another.
“There is no way on God’s green earth that I would consider voting Republican,” yet another adds.

“I don’t even want to think about them having control — as a woman I don’t,” another woman says.
The ad’s message is clear: Vote for Barack Obama because he stands for a smaller, less intrusive government.
Conservative women want to kill babies ... good one.
typical republican women who want small government that will stay out of their ‘religious’ lives; believe that the republicans will outlaw abortion; and just generally believe in all the democraptic talking points. My guess is that they are as much a genuine republicans as I am a genuine progressive socialist. NOT
These ads are so pathetic. He just looks so shallow and weak making stuff like this a campaign issue with all the major issues he has failed to deal with.
Isn’t Obamalamadingdong the one who supports partial birth abortion? He’s for infanticide for cryin’ out loud. I think he’s also against saving a fetus that managed, despite all odds, to be born alive. The nerve of these Democrats. War on women indeed! What arrant nonsense. I can’t believe any self-respecting woman would vote for him. If they think that getting free birth control pills or rubbers are the major factors in how they decide to vote, then, God save their souls.

I don’t claim to be a political know-it-all, but I seriously doubt this election is going to turn on abortion when all is said and done.
Obamacare: Doctors will not be making the decisions, the Government, through the health insurance industry now, is already making decisions for men and women. Once it becomes single-payer (because we all know that's where this is heading) the Government will make decisions about your health care based on whether or not your life or comfort is worth the cost of them paying for your care.
Did anyone see the movie ‘The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel’ ? Maggie Smith's wheelchair bound character is told she needs a hip replacement but in the UK she will have to wait 6 months. If she goes to India she won't have to wait. That's how her character ends up in India. This is not just a movie, this is for real. Americans will not stand for Socialized Medicine but, after it is implemented, it will be too late to turn back. It will be VERY DIFFICULT to go back to privatized medicine so pray that we can turn this country back to the American way of life we all fondly remember. VOTE THIS NOVEMBER!

The fact that none of the women are identified makes me suspect that they are Democratic operatives...I loved the one who said that she voted for “Ronald Reagan eight times”......Reagan won in a landslide because Jimmy Carter was a disaster! I noticed that not one of them said they had voted for John McCain - go ahead and give their names and let’s see which candidates/causes they have donated money to in the last ten years!
They should think about apologizing to their dead children, instead of working for a monster like Obama.

It is the ONLY issue that matters to my 26 year old daughter. Very sad to say. I asked her why the murder of unborn innocents is her only decision point -- all she could do is sputter and walk away. A great many women under 30, especially single women, think the same way.
Back in the 1960’s there was the Libs fascination with “Free Love.”
Now 50 years later the Libs have Fluke as the poster girl for “Free Sex,” well free to the Libs and charged to your grandchildren, of course.

Twenty years ago, I was the same way. I was a one-issue voter and reproductive rights were “the” issue for me. Now, in hindsight, I realize it was because that was the only issue I could make heads or tails of! Then 9-11 happened, and I began really educating myself in all the other issues I had neglected as being too hard to understand. In a couple of years I changed my registration from Democratic to Republican.
As for your daughter, she may be the same way. She may only feel that she understands a single issue and so that’s the most important one to her. If you can gently educate her on some of the other issues (pick one! lOL!) then she may start to look past her own uterus.
Obama thinks rape and abortion is what defines women. It ‘s insulting really. I need a job not an abortion. That’s how tone deaf this a-hole is.
