In January 2009, the month President Obama entered the Oval Office and shortly before he signed his stimulus spending bill, median household income was $54,983. By June 2012, it had tumbled to $50,964, adjusted for inflation. (See the chart nearby.) That's $4,019 in lost real income, a little less than a month's income every year.

I’m doing alright this year. But like you and everyone else, I could be doing much better. I suspect if Zero and the dems get kicked to the curb in Nov and (this one is a big if) the republicans get spending and taxes under control business will explode.
I am currently quoting projects that have start dates of next year. The buyers are telling me they won’t commit or sign contracts till “late this year” now... They won’t tell you why, but if you read between the lines you might be able to figure out why.

I’m the same way; the differences are irreconcilable. I literally have nothing in common with them (and would be ashamed if I did). In my family (in-laws and outlaws) there are no political debates; everyone is more or less on the same page.

I live nearby in NJ, and I’ll tell you there is nothing “communist” about these people. They want property taxes high enough to keep negroes out of their neighborhood, but certainly don’t believe in further re-distributing their wealth. They are often just elitists, nothing more complicated than that.
